.

I stayed for one night at The Jameson, after a good experience at one in South Carolina a few years back and not to mention the affordability. While the check-in procedure was quick and the staff very helpful, I found the room itself to be sub-par for various reasons. First, the walls are paper thin and we had some very loud neighbors, making it difficult to relax at all. The shower curtains and much of the shower itself needed to be replaced due to some disgusting black mold and rust. As strange as it sounds, even the toilet was defunct for the horrible dying-cow noise it makes when you go to flush it. Worse was the half-spent roll of toilet paper on the dispenser, tattered and also kind of questionable. The towels reeked of something unmentionable, and the AC has only two settings; melt or tundra. Honestly though, if you're just looking for a bed and a crappy T.V. , then this is, at it's best, better than a Super 8 or one of the other skanky motels in Greenville. But for long stays (say for a football game weekend or freshman orientation at ECU), skip this and splurge on the Marriott or the City Hotel.
