This place was okay. I would advise not ordering the steak in your fajitas unless you really like your meat well-done (to which I say, you must not really like meat...). Also, cheese does not come with the fajitas and the vegetables in it

When we walked in, there were piles of chips siting out in a dirty bin and then...We sat to eat and found ( things that weren't food) crawling on our table. Eat at your own risk, I guess.

We were just drinking here and I was deeply distressed to learn that the Tecate cans I was drinking were $8 a piece. I've never heard anything more ridiculous. \r

Made reservations with a number of friends weeks in advance and called several times to confirm. When making sure everything was in order on May 4th, the host mentions the fact that the owner decided not to accept or honor reservations

The Margaritas were perfect. The atmosphere was fun and cool. The staff was very friendly and "with it". I reccomend the enchalatas verde. A good time was had by all.

A gem of a restaurant! I stumbled upon El Rey walking back from the overhyped Meatpacking district, what an oasis on a hot day! The outside patio is big, kistchy, and fun! The fruit-flavored margraitas were the BEST I have ever

It's a shame my first time here was tainted by bad service, because this is a great place to come with friends. The food was great and the margaritas were as good as everyone says, but both the hostess and the waitress were appalling.

The art on the walls is very expressive of Mexican culture. And it is varied...one can spend a few minutes looking at the different kinds of pieces that have been assembled.

The food is great. I recommened the tortilla chip appetizer-it

In spite of the slow Service (Sunday afternoon) the eclectic decor and that great neighborhood patio complements the margarita selection.

Food can be good or not that great. Good flavor but no great difference from other NYC places
