This was the worst experience with a medical facility i have ever had! the staff was blunt and and uniformative, It feels as though i paid a hundred dollars to be have my blood pressure taken and told they can not help me any further, I was told by a spacialist(for my arthritist) i needed a genral phycian for my medications.\nNot only did they not address my current concerns,\nbut they also told me that they could not help me and i needed to see a spacialist! so after a 5 minute visit they they dismissed me, to fend for myself, with no suggestions on what i needed to do!!! so what exzactly is a genaral phycian for if they cant help you with anything ! I had better care from a phycain assistant ! \nthere doctors dont care about you! if i was dying i wouldnt go back to that clinic, if it was the last one that existed !! dont waste your time or money.

I've been going to Foothill Family Clinic for years, and continue to do so because it's right next to my work, and they can always fit me in same day.\n\nMy first bad experience was that when I had mononucleosis. I told the Dr that I was felling so tired I couldn't function, he told me to toughen up and refused to do a blood test. I had to go to another Dr. to have the mono diagnosed.\n\nThe second was a mass on my ovary. They sent me in for an ultrasound. When the results came back a secretary called to tell me that there was indeed a dangerous mass and they could not help me any further, but could offer a referral if I wanted one. I declined. The next day a different secretary called and said the Dr. wanted to schedule an apt. to talk about test results. I advised that I had already scheduled an apt. at Huntsman Cancer Inst. and if there was something more they could just tell me. The secretary told me she needed to schedule an apt to see the Dr. I told the secretary that I'd already been told they could not do anything for me. She said I should schedule an apt. I did and I went in. They said I had to give a co-pay. I asked if there was any new information, they said ""no"" but the Dr. has to get paid. I asked if the Dr. was just going to tell me that I had a mass that needed to be seen by a cancer specialist, they verified that was all the info they had and then insisted that I make my co-pay. I told them to shove it.\n\nBTW - the ultrasound tech at the south location is AMAZING. I loved her!\n\nI ALWAYS call first to see if the Dr. is on schedule (since I work only 2 minutes from their door). They always say ""yes"" and then I end up waiting a minimum of 30 minutes before being called back. I have often waited 60 minutes even when I've called first and they said they were on time. In fact, they have never said they were running behind, but they have never NOT been running behind.\n\nI had a broken hand bone, they told me I was fine, and should come back if it still hurts in a week. I asked for an x-ray, and ended up leaving in a cast. But, only after waiting a full 60 minutes for an x ray. The xray tech chit- chatted for an hour to another employee while I listened - no one told him I was waiting, and he never checked. Finally I hunted down my Dr. to see what the delay was. They had just forgotten about me.\n\nOverall, I haven't been in there for quite some time because I always spend 90 minutes plus to see a Dr. for 3 minutes or less. They always tell me I'm fine even if I'm not and I have to fight for them to diagnose me, or go elsewhere anyway.\n\n\n\n

Do yourself a favor and don't go here in the first place! Both my wife and I have had very terrible experiences here. We have followed up with office management to make our situation known about how we were treated or in these cases, how we we're NOT treated. My wife went there experiencing rib pain. Doc was rude and did nothing other than write a script. We immediately went to an IHC clinic where they, we're very friendly, did xrays and found fracture ribs and torn rib cartilage. I called the office managers of the Foothill Family Clinic to file a complaint about the doctor and the way my wife was treated. The office manager told me they do not even have a form to file a complaint (we'll see about that) The end result?. a letter in the mail from the doc, that read.... FROM Doctor Teddy Witbeck MD ""We regret to inform you that the physicians of Foothill Family Clinic North and FootHill Family Clinic South will NO LONGER provide medical care for you and your family"" What a joke... lol #1-they didn't even provide any care in the first place #2-I told them we would never go back there anyway #3- This Doc makes policy and also writes ""don't come back"" letters... when does he do doctor stuff? #4 - All the other Docs at the Foothill Clinics back this up? WOW - Foothill Family Clinic knows how to put the CARE in HealthCARE! So if you go.... don't complain about the service or you'll end up with a letter asking you not to come back! ooowwwwww o nooooo! Just DON'T GO HERE

I am writing this review after comming across all the other reviews listed here. While reading....I am thinking to myself all of these people that have had a bad experience, whether it be the clinic or the type of people writing these bad reviews, are the squeaky wheels here. I thought to myself, I love this clinic, and here they are getting bad feedback because of course the people who are irritated are going to post something negative. I used to work in customer service and hated hearing all the bad things, when I knew the customers that were happy just weren't verbalizing it. I am here to tell you that this clinic is amazing! I have been a patient for a long time, and have seen multiple clinicians. I have also seen other doctors offices outside of this practice. I think Foothill is great and have never seemed to have any problems. They really take care of their patients. I have referred a lot of family and friends and have never had complaints. I will continue to do so.....Go Foothill!! My hope is that more people step up and speak out about the positive things about this clinic.

From beginning to end this was a wholly unprofessional provider. As a new patient, I arrived fifteen minutes early, assuming there would be new-patient paperwork (medical history, medication history, etc). No such paperwork was given. The receptionist with whom I was working mentioned there might be a 15-20 minute wait which I accepted. While I was standing there registering, two women came in and registered with another receptionist - both women were 5 minutes late and 11 minutes late, respectively, for the appointment. They were, however, placed in line ahead of me. My receptionist then ask me to sign a paper that bore my name/address and the appointment time. She put in an appointment time 10 minutes after my scheduled time so I crossed it out and corrected it. She took one look at that and her body language seemed to be one of alarm and consternation. I was then told there would be an hour wait. I left.

I have been a patient at Foothill Family Clinic ever since I moved to Salt Lake 15 years ago. I actually really like my physician, but it has gotten to a point where I just can't take the abuse anymore and it's time to find someone new. \r\n\r\nA few examples of what to expect with this clinic:\r\n\r\n1. Extremely long hold times for phone calls.\r\n2. You will need an appointment for every little thing (just so they can collect an office visit fee. An example would be your an epipen refill for severe bee sting reactions, since the medication expires regularly. You don't have symptoms unless you've been stung...)\r\n3. Phone calls are not returned in a timely fashion, if at all. Expect to have to call back for your answer.\r\n4. The staff is EXTREMELY rude and smug. \r\n5. If your doctor is out of the office, and you need a refill on a prescription, the secretary will tell you to wait until your doctor returns. She could care less if you are completely out of your medication.\r\n6. The billing office will stalk you and treat you like a criminal if your copayment went up and you have a $10 balance owing for more than 30 days. (Which, since I am a regular patient, just ask me at my next appointment to settle the balance.)\r\n7. Every time I have seen a different doctor, he or she has not listened to me, misdiagnosed me, and failed to culture my samples which has caused delays in my recovery.\r\n\r\nThe bottom line: the staff has zero customer support, the doctors and staff have a better-than-thou mentality, and it is impossible to get anyone to act like they care. I oftentimes wonder why most of the staff got into this industry in the first place. I am done being mistreated. \r\n\r\nI urge anyone considering this office to stay far, far away. Unless you like to have your time wasted.

Th moneyis is a horrible office with horribly rude staff and the worst doctors I've ever experienced. mainly Dr. Eborn. She doesnt listen, or care, and is flat out rude. No matter what your problem is she will give you every blood test possible and try and put you on anti-depresents. She has no idea what she's doing. tells me what ive been diagnosed with for years isnt the problem.... uh, but it is. she just doest want to write my prescription and wants more of my money that im paying out of pocket for every blood test possible, and guess what... nothing else is wrong with me. instead of admitting she doesnt know anything about my diagnosis, she tells me i don't have it. And again aside from the doctors, the staff sit there and joke around with eachother while im waiting in line with twenty other people. if you are awaiting test results, wait a long time, and call them because they won't call you. SERIOUSLY!!!!! DON'T GO HERE!!!!

My doctor works at Foothill Family Clinic (FFC) and he?s one of the best I?ve ever seen. But on a day when I felt I needed to see someone fast, he wasn?t available. The FFC receptionist offered another doc. I figured since they had my records and I was familiar with the place, I?d make the appointment. The random doctor I saw was condescending and arrogant ? clearly lacked the ability to see a first-time patient. I can understand why some doctors are so distrusting because of rampant drug abuse, but well-practiced doctors manage these types of encounters well. Since InstaCare doctors only see first timers, my hunch is they?re more skilled and tactful with their patients and know how to determine who needs the help and who doesn?t.

About 2 weeks ago I went in to get a lump on the bridge of my nose examined due to it increasing in size over the past few months. I got assigned to Dr. Jackson. Having only been to this clinic once and never meeting Dr. Jackson I had no idea what to expect. She said that it most likely is a cyst and asked if I would like to have it removed. I said yes and then she continued the conversation asking me if I would be worried about scars. As a normal guy I said no I am not worried about scars. She then mentioned that she could do it or she could recommend a plastic surgeon. She seemed to be a bit shy about doing it and then mentioned that she is a perfectionist. **ding, ding, light comes over head**. A perfectionist cutting into my face is about the best thing you could hear in that situation. So I scheduled to have it done by Dr Jackson in the next few days. It took about 20 to 30 minutes and the whole time she made sure that I was comfortable and not feeling any pain. Finally it is removed and the stitches are gone. What a fantastic job she did. I can barely see where she had mad the 1/2"" - 3/4"" incision on the bridge of my nose. There was little to no swelling and I am very confident that she got the entire thing out so it will not come back. Dr Jackson is very precise and detailed. What more could you want from a doctor?\n\nSo to anyone out there reading this I would strongly recommend Dr Jackson. She did an amazing job with my situation and as a bonus, she actually recognizes me after only seeing her twice before. So she gets extra points for being so personable.\n\nThank you

Staff is very immature and expects you as though you've worked at the place before. They act as if we knew the rules and are very stuck up even the doctors whom treat patients like they are in a rush. \n\nThanks Doc for taking my $20 then telling me to keep doing the same thing I've been doing. oh and thanks for letting me try to sleep in this pain im having and not giving me a thing for it.\n\nThe doctors here have obviously not been through very much schooling because they had no idea what was wrong with me.\n\nPlease steer clear of here if you can help it. Spend your money wisely somewhere else. Thanks for listening

Dr. Williams has been the best doc I've seen in years! She spends 1 1/2 hours on your initial visit, making detailed notes on your case. Each following visit she will talk to you directly for 20 min. What doctor out there does this? I've never been to anyone before who gives you so much time. Yes, she is an intense, intelligent person who has an air of confidence and this could offend some folks. I like it and have found she answers all my questions, and has taught me to assess my own headaches and meds. She empowers her patients. She returns phone calls twice a day and doesn't use some bimbo teenager to return your calls or take your blood pressure or temperature. \r\nI have found her so compassionate and understanding of my migraines that I have referred many people to her. She gives you time, attention and help. She's awesome!!!

Tried to get my recurring prescription filled but was denied because they wanted to see me, even though my doctor had told me that I should remain on it indefinitely. With knowledge that I had been off my prescription for 5 days, they STILL denied me. The woman with whom I spoke with told me that the customer service problems I was experiencing were ""not her problem."" \n\nGo somewhere else, people. These are horrible physicians.

This is the closest clinic to my home so I go there when anyone in our family is sick. The office staff is worse than in any other clinic I have been to. You need to wait on hold for several minutes for the chance to schedule an appointment, more often you need to leave a message. The front desk staff once made me cry by not allowing me to see my doctor who was Shirley Ala at the time. I think she left the clinic because of all the politics, she had called me after she heard I left crying and asked me to come back to see her. \r\n\r\nAfter I got new insurance, I started going back again and putting up with the aweful staff. \r\n\r\nSusan Edwards MD once made me wait 2 hours to see her, so don't go with her. But the pediatric PA's will see adults and are good. Lara Pace and Jerry Kelty are excellent PA's and worth visiting.\r\n\r\nThe North Clinic is where I visit. They do clinical trials a lot so make sure you do your research before agreeing to any of those. Some are good, some not so good. \r\n\r\nI gave them only 2 stars since they are only sorta good. They really don't try to be excellent and have poor management. But you can find a good doctor there if you are selective.

Been a patient there for 20 years and like my doc a lot. Unfortunately, they see way too many patients per hours, which means I've had Scripts take as long as five days to be refilled and a visit can take hours. Great care but plan on having a lot of patience when you do business here. Waits can be long and the business office ruthless about collecting even before your claims are fully adjudicated.

Both my daughters had the misfortune of being treated there. One was send home with an advanced bladder infection, in severe pain without the doctor prescribing any antibiotics for TWO days!!! Poor girl was in agony and the pharmacy kept telling her there was nothing for her. After two days calling for meds and getting poor excuses of the doc being so busy, I had to call angry and upset before antibiotics were prescribed. \n\nMy other daughter went in for severe abdominal pains that had been going on for two days. After examining her he said she had appendicitis and would get her a number to have it removed immediately. Advised her to stay away from the local hospitals because they would be too expensive for her. (Who is he to judge? and what price do you set for health and life?)She has excellent insurance by the way. An hour later he came in and said, never mind, your white blood cell levels are fine so just go home and keep an eye on your appendices. How does a 20 year old do that? She could not walk, sit or lay down without being in constant pain. He prescribed her lortab for pain and sent her home. When I went to see him for additional info or test results on perhaps pancreatitis, he laughed in my face and said ""are YOU the doctor now?"" I felt he was insulting, unprofessional and definitely not thorough enough in his examinations.\n\nI urge you to find medical care elsewhere.

I am quite surprised at many of the comments about Dr. Williams. I have chronic severe migraines and had hit a wall with my regular neurologist. I had three separate people recommend her to me. I have been seeing her for about three years now and she has always been sympathetic and listened to all my comments, concerns, and questions. She has given me referrals to a couple of other great doctors to help me deal with some of the issues that contribute to my migraines (sleep, etc.) Most importantly, she seems as determined as I am to help me get the migraines under control. Whenever I mention that she is my neurologist to other medical professionals many of them are familiar with her work and rave about her. I would highly recommend her.

I direct you to my google review of Foothill South Clinic which is very detailed. Basically, I am a MD who twice took my 2 yr old son here for a severe limp in the setting of an URI (1st time) and gastroenteritis (2nd time). The 1st time the doctor misdiagnosed it as ""occult fracture,"" only for him to get worse, go to Primary Children's THE NEXT DAY where a pediatrician quickly (correctly) diagnosed it as toxic synovitis (diapproving of the clinics assessment). Foothill never sent the results of his xray (though I read it myself) and called a month later to ""check up on him."" PCMC called the next day.\r\n\r\nThe 2nd visit was last night where gi infection for a week and sudden onset of limp (again). Dr said, ""toxic synovitis"" but recommended to go to PCMC if I was presistently concerned (I think MD's treat MD's kids worse b/c worried of being wrong, etc). Scheduled for ultrasound of hip next day. Called peds orthro and explained symptoms, etc. and was told that I should have gotten basic labs if concern was high enough to order ultrasound as well as basic rheumatology labs because recurrent toxic synovitis is a sign of possible juvenile arthritis (not good to miss). i called back the clinic, told them what the specialists wanted, only for the secretaries to hang up on me once, transfer me to an inactive voice mail twice, and then not pick up the phone. i had to drive there to get the basic labs ordered that nigh, and the next morning my wife returned with son for the basic labs and requested the rheum labs (per ortho request). the pediatrician wouldn't order the rheum panel. per my wife, it was clear he was letting his ego put my son's health at risk without admitting that he was possibly incorrect to not at least talk about these diagnoses/workup. i was shocked hearing this because i looked it up and the literature clearly supports this concern with recurrent toxic synovitis and the peds either did not know this (which he should per ortho) or was too inconsiderate of my sons wellbeing to admit maybe the specialist was right.\r\n\r\nas a father/MD, i am saddened that this clinic failed repeatedly to care for my son in an appropriate fashion. parents, i advise you to look elsewhere, as further evidenced by the fact that my son had loss of bowel control and did not even get an abdominal exam last night (a common sense thing, with the doctor only focusing on the hip).

Pros: urgent care open after hrs

Cons: misdiagnosed/cared for my son twice

We have been patients at Foothill Clinic for 28 years. Dr. Dan Henry is the best! There was one rude doctor there years ago, but he has been gone for about 20 years, and we have not have any trouble with any of them since. The standard of care we receive is always top notch - we recommend this clinic to everyone!

Cons: long wait time occasionally

Horrible. Went to Dr. Dorothy more than once, trying to make it work and not wanting to be too picky. She hurt me, made me cry, and then insulted me for getting upset. She couldn't answer any of my questions, always gave a vague response and she refused to include my husband, despite our request BEFORE the visit. Her staff are rude and cold, like her. WORST DOCTOR IN UT.

I have gone to Foothill Family Clinic off and on for fourteen years. The doctors and P.A.s are always great during the appointments. But beware of anything to do with phones. Expect long hold times and being placed on hold a myriad of times any time you call. I have had nothing but trouble: call backs, lab test results, calling in prescritpions, on occasion even setting up an appointment can be like pulling teeth. I pay the dentist for that, not the doctor. If you want a doctors' office that has a primary concern for the welling of patiencts, look elsewhere. I have.

I have been going to Foothill Family Clinic for about 5 years. The staff has always been polite and effecient, but in particular, PA Jerry Kelty has been the best medical professional I have ever seen and due to my medical condition, I have seen a lot. He has a wonderful bedside manner, always takes the time to listen to me, and will always answer any question I have to the best of his ability.\r\n\r\nI cannot recommend him enough!!!

I have to say that Dr. Dorothy Williams has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. At first visit I had some questions and she just smiled wide and said ok ok and she didn't answer them and seemed to be insulted and made me feel stupid when I went to ask for more. She did not do an internal examination either. After that because she was close I was going to go back. She would not call me but made her girls keep doing so. The 2nd and last time visiting her she walked in the room with wide smile but had NO knowledge to give me medical details on a question and then outright said (when I said I was nervous) in a indirect but sarcastic way that if I remained nervous it didn't help her. I do not at all feel good with this doctor. It is outrageous. Do NOT go to Dr. Williams!

Dr. Dorothy Williams is very rude! It really upsets me that doctors like that are still doctors. She really has no morals for anyone. I wouldn't bring my dog there.(sorry but its the truth).

Dr. Dorothy Williams is the most HORRIBLE doctor I have ever had the displeasure to meet in my entire life. I had a serious health concern (which she brought up), I could not depend on her giving me any helpful answers. Not only is she very condescending, rude and arrogant, what's unforgivable is that she dismissed my questions and downplayed my very valid concerns. It was only when I started to insist and question her conflicting answers that I got her attention. Even then, I had to do my own research and ask for a second opinion. Never will I recommend her to anyone. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

I have been a patient of the clinic for years! For at least 15. Yesterday was the first day in those years that I was treated poorly by one of their doctors. His name is Alex Clark. He seemed nice at first, but then made comments about how often I go to the clinic, which I don't feel good a lot, so my visits are frequent. He seemed very stern after a while and also made me feel like I was stupid. I also felt like a bad step parent after I left from a comment he made to me. I had gone in for IB profen for my back pain that I've had for several months. I have also been seen there for my back pain by a PA. He told me that I wouldn't need anything stronger than IBs, even though I told him that was what I wanted. It really seemed like this doctor thought I was a ""prescription"" seeking patient. He had horrible bed-side manner which they obviously don't teach in Med school, and as a result, I am afraid to go back to this clinic now because of his assumptive attitude toward me. The other doctors I've seen there throughout the years have been awesome and would recommend any of those doctors, but not this Alex Clark guy.

The 'star' rating system here is FLAWED.\r\n\r\nPlease observe that of the 5 reviews, 3 are at the minimum allowed - while 2 are the max or close - 'averaging' the number of stars is not an 'accurate' way to calculate the assessment.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I have been going to Foothill Family clinic for over thirty years now. Dr. Dan Henry is my primary physician, but I have seen numerous doctors at the both clinics. I have received nothing but superior health care and concern about my well being from every doctor and nurse that I have had the privilege to meet . Dr. Henry goes out of his way, and uses his personal time , to ensure that your health care is top notch. I don't think that there is a finer health care clinic in this state. It is unfortunate that some feel that health care is an entitlement, and it should be, but unfortunately it is not. These highly trained proffessionals have put a lot of time and money into their education and training and should be paid for their efforts. KUDOS to you, FOOTHILL FAMILY CLINIC AND STAFF.

I have to disagree with the 2 reviews. I have been going to Foothill Family Clinic since they moved up to Foothill Blvd. Before than I went to see Dr. Stanley Neff (now deceased) down on 13th East and 21st South. I was actually delivered by Dr. Neff and so was my son - I'm 51 and my son is 26.\r\nThey have always been very good to myself, my husband and my children and when I lost my job over 2 years ago, Dr. Taylor always helps us with our bill, especially when we didn't have insurance. I have Multiple Sclerosis and some other medical issues and my husband also has his Medical Problems. it's nice to go see a Doctor who knows what's going on with you.\r\nIt's no more expensive than any other Medical Place or Clinic and I'm sure it is due to a lot of people using their insurance too much, etc. Then it makes it bad for everyone.\r\nYeah, the North Clinic is old, but it is very comfortable for me and we enjoy going there and will continue going to the North Clinic. \r\nI had an Ultrasound for my Gall Bladder at the South Clinic and the Technician there was the nicest, most informative technician I have ever had. She did not give me a diagnosis, but explained to me everything she was doing and showed me as she was doing the procedure, where she was and what we were looking at. It was very interesting.\r\nI have seen other doctors at the Clinic when I have to, but I prefer to see Dr. Taylor because he has been our family doctor for years.\r\nWhen we have made phone calls on a friday or even a saturday for something that is really needed, they have always been very accomodating in helping us. \r\nI feel bad that the other 2 people had bad experiences - but we all do sometime in our lives and some people always have bad experiences, no matter where they go?\r\nThank You Foothill Family Clinic - We love you!!!!!\r\n

I saw Dr. Dorothy Williams at the Family Foothill Clinic and it was the worst experience I've had with a Doctor. She is very rude and condescending. She treated me like I'm an idiot. And forget about asking her any questions! She answers just short of telling you to shut up! I will not be seeing her again and would NOT recommend her to anyone. We've seen many Doctors, Surgeons and Specialists over the past 20 years and not ONE of them ever treated any of us that way. In my opinion, she doesn't care about her patients, I'm not exactly sure why she's even in the business. I agree with the first comment on this clinic. The building is not very professional, and squeezing into Dr. Williams' office ( old closet maybe?) should have been my first clue that I had made an appointment with the wrong Doctor.

This clinic, both North and South valley branches, is all about the money and NOT about the patients and their problems, in my opinion. They pay their employees poorly and it shows. Their North clinic looks and smells like something from 1981. This place is all about the DOCS LINING THEIR POCKETS WITH GOLD above and beyond all else. One of the physicians even partially owns a health insurance company (Health Utah) on the side that pays so little out, yet has enormous premiums and poor benefits to the subscribers. He forced all of the employees at Foothill Clinics to switch and then fired the employees who were using the plan too frequently and costing his new investment a lot of money. This is the fox watching the hen house and I don't want my doctor to put profit before people.
