Communication is a vital part of our daily life and is our most important human characteristic. Our independence, relationships and well being are dictated by our communication skills. When this is interrupted, for any reason, our ability to interact with other people may be mildly or severely affected.
Swallowing, a complex sequence of movements requiring precise muscle control, may be impaired. Coughing, choking, weight loss and difficulty swallowing pills are a few of the behaviors that indicate you may need swallowing therapy.
