Surprisingly, this is a nice place to play golf and take in the scenery. Love playing this 9-hole course after work where you can overlook the downtown skyline. Course is challenging, especially if you're a novice.

I especially like Roosevelt when you are planning to catch a show at the Greek Theatre. You can park in their lot and play at around 5pm for $12.00. Then go across the street to see the show afterwards. It's very green with alot of trees and is actually a fairly hard course.

Not bad for an executive

This is a pleasant executive course. It's short (as most executive courses are) I think pretty much all the holes except #2 can be driven. There are some great views and the greens are in decent shape. The pace can be pretty slow on the weekends so plan accordingly. I don't think I have ever waited less than 1/2 hour on #6.
PROS: Decent little course
CONS: Slow pace on weekend afternoons

If you don't mind sharing the fairways with the locals (foxes, coyotes, rabbits, etc.) then this golf course is for you. Tucked away in Griffith Park, this 9-hole course is a true gem. It has several par 3 holes with a couple tough par 4 and 5's. It's one of the few 9-hole courses where you get to use your drivers. Lots and trees and surrounded by hills, it's a great place to spend the afternoon and take in the scenery as you whack the ball!
