The place sells really under quality items. We tried to get some Yucca roots (tapioca) and it was so bad that there was a bad stench and it was so soft to even touch. Where do you find Yucca roots that are soft and emanates a smell. Unfortunately this is a bad experience.

We have been shopping at this store even long before the present owners have owned it. This is a very well run Indian m market. The prepared food is excellent and the grocery items are well stocked and prices reasonable.

Ratings_icons great service

I like the place for great and personal service. The grocery market has wide variety of spices and other ingredients at reasonable cost. The take out food has lot of choices including snacks, samosas and puffs are really tasty and fresh. The curries are to my taste and make good choices. The food price is really cheap for less than $10 you get a lot of food to take. Excellent place to take food from if you feel lazy of cooking.

The owners are really slow at attending to/helping out their customers. I also found 2 different items on their shelves that had way passed their expire date! Their fresh vegetables barely looked fresh and their staff could definately improve with their service.
Then again, geing the only South Asian grocer in town the lack motivation to improve as there is no other competetion for them.

Hidden Indian spice and grocery store in Thousand Oaks. They carry all sorts of curries and spices, Indian dried and canned food, fresh vegetables, and you can even get samosas and Indian videos from the counter. The only place in the area if you are looking for Indian ingredients or foods. The prices are outstanding as well--curries and spices like cinnamon (both ground and in sticks), cardamom, and more are extremely cheap and available in large quantites. Even better, it's much fresher than the horrible spices you get in most grocery stores.
