5 Stars: Delightful, authentic Austrian Streudel (by Marty Z.)

I can't stop thinking about this place now that the name has come up. They serve hot, fresh, hand made streudel..cherry, apple and cheese. There's really nothing like it. It is amazing and light and flaky...filled with warm fruit or sweet creamy cheese, like my Hungarian Grandma used to make, a real diet-killer!

PROS: The streudel..it's the real deal!
CONS: CALORIE EXPLOSION...but so what, right?

5 Stars: My favorite bakery in Southern California not only for strudel! (by Rose K.)

This is one of the few places where you can still get real stuff - pastries made from scratch. Also it is the only Austrian Bakery I know in L.A. and I love Austrian Pastries. This lovely couple bakes the best apple strudel (they also offer other flavor combinations) and so much more than just strudel. How can you ever prefer Entenmann's to this pastry? Their Viennese Cookies are heaven, worth every penny. Lately they offer the cookies in little boxes which I like to buy as gifts for friends (they do custom labels too!) A small place worth checking out and coming back to if you love good food!

4 Stars: (by Gabriel P.)

Very nice bakery if you're looking for a truly traditional pastry. These baked goods are not what you would get at Entemanns and they are really very unique and as far as I'm concerned "home made". This is a family owned bakery and the owners are veryfriendly and proudly explain each of their pastries in a very descriptive manner. All of the items are a bit pricey but it's worth paying to support the local baker. Give it a try, it's not often you get to try real Austrian strudel.

I love strudel but I don't like this strudel. Probably because I like the really fake and processed stuff like Entemanns. I know I should learn to appreciate this place, it is adorable and it's family run. I will try to support it as much as possible but the strudel wasn't very sweet and not very tasty. Pretty expensive.

Beautiful, tiny family owned bakery on a busy street with easy access. This bakery is one of the few Austrian places around. You'll find tasty and artfully decorated cakes and strudels. If you order to take out they package the item in an old fashioned box and just looking at it can make you mouth water. Worth a try. A little pricey but worth every penny.

This is an adorable little bakery in the heart of culver city. It's got lots of charm and tons of love put into every item for sale. Owned and operated by a family and freqented by the Terminator, it's a must try. I've tried a variety of cakes andstrudels and been mostly impressed every time. It's a perfect place to go to get something for the family gatherings this holiday season.

Its not always that one gets to taste authentic strudel, and what makes Old Viennas particularly good is that it is made with fresh ingredients and in traditional Austrian style. The storefront isnt open everyday, but they take orders in advance. Youcan also sample their wares, which are available for immediate purchase, apple strudel being the popular choice.
