Today's Market  5 Star Rating - World class

It's so wonderful to have a supermarket with organic, worldly, eco-friendly and a diversity of products. Shopping here is an experience that will enlighten your senses and your wishes for a better future for the planet/us. A little expensive on some items, yet worth it over all. Use coupons and improve your health and lifestyle.

Wonderful Whole Foods  5 Star Rating - World class

I recently moved from W. Hollywood to Eagle Rock and while I love my new 'hood, I missed W. Hollywood's Whole Foods and their hot / cold salad bar. The one in Glendale blows West Hollywood away. More checkout lines, more selection at the salad bar and in the aisles and better parking. It can be expensive (my friends and I call it "Whole Paycheck" but do be sure to read the signs when buying produce - only some of it is organic and if you don't read the labels, you'll be paying too much for food grown conventionally.

PROS: Parking, Huge Salad and Omelette Bar, Organic Food!
CONS: high prices for conventional produce

too pricy  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

this is a huge store and they have a great selection of vines and cheese and food of every kind. Fruits and vegetables thoguh are nothing special, they don't even smell and they llok too perfect for mother nature...prices are too high while at trader's joe you can buy much more with the same money. but hte selection they have is amazing. if you like coffee this is the place for you, they have huge bags with different coffee from all over and will be happy to assist you grinding it.

This is a spectacular store for fresh fish, salads, soups and desserts. Though pricey, one can find good prices if you are willing to have less pricey items like Turkey breast to roast. The store is large and busy but the parking lot is adequate. Go on off hours.

4 Star Rating - Very good

Whole Foods is awesome ... you're going to pay a bit more than you will at Ralph's and Von's, but come on ... we're talking fresh, organic stuff here.

If you're planning on making a big salad for a special someone, this is the place to go. Asmentioned, their pre-made foods are really good--smart options for people who don't want to/can't spend too much time making something nutritious and tasty.

This place is brand new and huge, with great selections on almost everything I need. I am a selective shopper at Whole Foods though, and only buy specialty items (meat, seafood, produce and wine) while picking up the basics elsewhere. Their prepared food is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable.

Whole Foods has made a reputation in providing organically grown foods and this store in Glendale (which I have read is the third largest) has lots of all types of natuarally raised fruits, vegetables, and meats. But I go there for their pre-prepared foods which are expensive but very tasty. This applies especially to their sandwiches and their sushi.
