It's a real shame this theater doesn't allow photos inside because it's big and beautiful. Do yourself a favor and take the red line in. You'll let out across the street and save yourself time and hassle.

The shows are unique and the actors are fantastic.

The prices are very reasonable.

There really isn't "bad" seating anywhere.

The place is clean and the seats are great. The acoustics are awesome you can really hear anything from everywhere. I enjoy coming here on weekends with the family and even invite along friends too.

I saw this show last night. Horrible! The singing and costumes were good. The acting - not so much. Key scenes from the play were missing. I saw this play years ago (off-Broadway) in Atlanta. That show was awesome. Don't waste your money on this. I saw Wicked last year there. It was a wonderful show.

I recently saw Wicked at Pantages. I highly recommend to everyone to go and see it, before it leaves. My only complaint is, that there are too many people that come late, and they are allowed to be seated 15mins after the show started.

I love the Pantages. If you're going to see a show in LA, I say see it here. This is truly one of my favorite places in LA: Great Ambience, not a bad seat in the house, and one of the coolest interiors of any theatre you've ever been in,

I've been going to the Pantages since I was a teenager in the 80's when I saw "Beatlemania" . Most recently, I saw Wicked here only a couple of months ago, and I'll be going again in August. The restoration project brought the theater

The Pantages Theater is one of the best places I've been in Los Angeles to see live theater. They usually have some of the top national touring shows playing there...the last show that I saw there was "The Producers." It's a really nice older theater...not too big, but definitely not small. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. I'd definitely recommend checking out a show here sometime.

PROS: top notch theatrical productions
CONS: expensive

The fully-restored Pantages was featured in Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator." When you walk into the lobby, you are transported to the Golden Age of Hollywood - all glamour and opulence. The lobby glitters and glows in (only slightly-tacky) painted gold with rich red carpet.

Parking is not too hard in the many independent lots around the theater, and ranges from $5 - $10. You can even find a cheap parking meter if you get there early. You walk on the stars of Hollywood's bygone lumineries and the current restoration of the area.

One last thing about the Pantages: every seat is pretty good. For many shows, we have bought the cheapest seats in the house - in the last two rows. The view of the stage is not too steep and still feels close enough to see the actors' expressions. At other places, like the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion you feel like you're a mile away. The Pantages is the best place in LA to see a show!

PROS: Good views, Opulent, Parking
CONS: Popular shows sell out fast!

Every time they host a broadway hit musical or classic stage production, regardless of what it is - I have never been let down by this theater. The sound, stage, seating, location, the magnitude of the productions/events.....it is always the best of the best. Their performers usually travel around the glove and many of them are from NY Broadway. Parking is $10 at across the Hollywood Blvd. They should add more bathrooms though, it's really hard to go and come back during the recess due to extremely looooong line.

I had a great experience at this theatre with my kids. We saw Lion King, parking was somewhat hard to find. You have to go to a private parking area and walk to the theatre. Inside it is beautiful, and all the seat are great. I would defineatly go back

I went there to see Bruce Springsteen's concert and I was stunned by the beauty of this opulent but still cozy theatre. This is a exquisite place decorated in art deco in the heart of historic hollywood. The subway is just across the street and parkings are scattered all around.

I'm so glad the Pantages became home of the latest hits from Broadway. It offers a venue where these shows can have long runs and Los Angeles folks can enjoy them without the expensive vacation to the opposite coast.

Alright, Wicked won't be there forever but this former long term residence of Disney's The Lion King always is showcasing something wonderful. Right on Hollywood Blvd., you can follow the Stars right to the theatre's doorstep. It's a beautiful theatre, the seats are comfortable, and the shows are always of the highest quality. But seriously, go see Wicked this summer if you get the chance!

The Pantages Theater has been a mainstay of Hollywood for many years. The Academy Awards ceremony used to be held there in the past and you can feel the glamour of Hollywood just walking down the aisles. Now used for large touring Broadway shows, the theater was restored by the Disney company just prior to their long-running hit "THE LION KING" arrived. Having visited the theater before then many times and having always felt it was a beauty, I was stunned to see an ever more beautiful theater the restoration revealed. It is, however, a very deep house and if you have bad eyes, you may want to spring for the orchestra seats closer to the front. But there is no extra charge for walking around the lobby pre and post show to enjoy the Pantages as it might have been when your favorite stars of the past walked the same floor.

The Pantages Theatre is one of the best places in Hollywood to see a play or a musical production. I just was there and saw CHICAGO with Patti LaBelle, what a treat. I have seen quite a few plays there and they have always been wonderful. They have a great sound system, reasonable pricing, and the glamour and glitz of Hollywood Past. They have different seating areas with different prices like all play houses. We had seats in the orchestra section 5th row center and the tickets were less then $70 a piece. Just 5 rows ahead of us was the more expensive seating, over $100 and the people were complaining that they all needed neck braces cause they were too close and had to look up the entire time. Go for the orchestra section and save a pain in the neck.

PROS: You can see Broadway plays here for less then Broadway...
CONS: all the surcharges that are put onto the final price of tickets, it is that way with everyplace, just wanted to voice it!!!

It's a really nice old-style theatre. I saw the Producers there. Great sound & orchestra. Recommend sitting on the lower level, not up high. There is a metro rail station across the street makes it easy to get to.

Our family has had the pleasure of seeing several productions at this theatre over the past 15 years, and we have really enjoyed ourselves. The Panatages has been marvelously maintained from its older years, with high ceilings, ornate wall and ceiling decorations, and beautiful carpeting. The interior of the theatre is likewise beautiful- check out the detailed decor around the stage. The sound system inside the theatre is very good and the seats have been staggered for optimal viewing. The bring great productions to the theatre, most notably in recent years, the Lion King and the Producers. My only complaints are that I wish they wouldn't allow eating in the theatre (crunching noises) and they sure need a parking lot. If you are bringing out-of-towners, come early and show your visitors the Walk of Fame and other Hollywood landmarks.

I saw The Producers at the Pantages, and I really enjoyed the theater. I enjoyed the decor and the general feel of the theater. It also seemed very clean and well-kept. It was large, but not too large. We parked across the street, and I think the parking was reasonably-priced. I would recommend this theater for a show any time.

I saw Mama Mia at this place. The plot kept me in suspense. The story pulls you in because the protagonist is so vulnerable and about to grow up. The theatre itself seemed a bit cramped. The sound was great. I couldn't believe that the orchestra was right below the stage. I kept trying to sneak peeks at the musicians between the cracks in the front. I got pretty hungry during intermission, but theatre food notoriously falls short.
