Cat Club

The stage is really almost too small for most bands and their equipment, and the floor can get really crowded. (But it's nice that there's always the upstairs to hang out in.) And it would be nice to have more than one bathroom stall. Overall, I do like the looks of what's been done to remodel, though. Good music, too! Parking is tough, as with most clubs in the area. I think the lot out back is $7 or so.

This club is owned by the drummer for the Stray Cats, and they often have jams on stage with some famous to semi-famous musicians. I played here with my band one night, and the one thing I noted-- the stage is tiny! You can't beat the location, down from the Hustler store, The Viper Room, and The Whiskey a Go-Go. It's a cozy, dark little place to see some local bands and get your drink on. I'd recommend.

I had a pretty good time here. A nice low key place (although the night I went it was a little crowded) but for the most part a place to enjoy yourself, get a drink and relax.
