Must see

This is a must see if you are visiting the Hollywood area. There is a lot of history to discover and the atmosphere is very "Hollywood". This is a great place for a photo!

The Temple of Cinema

by Gus H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,904

This is by far one of the best theatres in LA. The sound here is unbelievable and event better if you see a big blockbuster type of film with lost of explosions and such.

PROS: Great sound, plenty of seating
CONS: Have to pay for parking

A Great Movie Theater

by Anonymous

This theater is really large and quite spectacular looking. It has ornate asian details and the ceiling and walls are decorated. There is a large red curtain that covers the screen and they open it for the previews and then close and reopen it again for the main movie. It is a nice touch. This is one of the largest theaters I have been to and the screen in huge and the sound is the best ever. For large epic movies with lots of action I would definitely recommend seeing it here. The price is reasonable considering how nice the theater is.

I have always loved grauman's theatre. it's so full of history and to get to walk around and put your hands in the cement of movie stars is very cool. The one thing that is upsetting to me and the reason I give this a satisfactory is the fact that this area is now more touristy than ever (if that's even possible) because they've built so much around it...but I really suggest you go if you haven't it's at least to be experienced once!
