The people who work in this grocery store remember your face and are very friendly. It is very convient to our house so we would never go anywhere else. The deli is excellent and in general the store has a large selection of everything. My only problem is that you can only go specific days for fresh vegetables.
Very expencive! The highest prices I've seen in LA! They are not consistant with the groceries they stock at all. To top it all off, they decided to RAISE their prices right in the middle of the remodel job thats terribly difficult to manuver around.
This particular Albertson's probably has the best quality meats and produce in the Los Feliz area, short of going to the farmer's market on the weekend. But why do they have to be so understaffed at the checkout lines? The few open lines are long, with several closed checkstands right next to them. Going to an alternate store (i.e. the Vons at Sunset/Hollywood) is necessary when you're in a hurry.
Sure, Trader Joe's has interesting boutique food items and some decent bargains, but pound for pound, pint for pint Albertson's is the most reliable, reasonably priced place to shop in the Los Feliz area, particularly when it comes to produce and meats. Not only that, but the cast of characters running the place and manning the registers will keep you entertained each time you shop. (Check out the wall of customer photos.) It's not always the easiest place to get in and out of in a hurry, but I shop here regularly--it's "my store"--and I actually enjoy my weekly run for groceries.
