4 Stars: Good selection, easy to get to (by A R.)

The smart and final is a good alternative to Costco when you don't have time to drive that far, and need mainly groveries and household goods, as opposed to plasma tv sets. They have a good grocery section.

4 Stars: warehouse prices without membership fees (by Carol W.)

Good alternative to Costco, though they don' t have nearly the same selection. But if you're looking for grocery items in bulk, this is a good place to go. Not everything is cheaper here (2 liter sodas, for example) but in general the prices are good.

4 Stars: Smart & Final (by Rosa D.)

Smart and Final is where I purchase groceries is bulk. This place is really great, you save money when you buy in bulk and get great deals. The shopping carts are pretty big which is perfect for the large products. The employees here are always really helpful. I would recommend.

4 Stars: Be Smart, Be Final (by Jon R.)

Smart and Final is a great concept that seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Discounted cleaning products and supplies for the home and business has morphed into reduced pricing on groceries and food -- both canned and perishable fruits and veggies. Sort of Costco meets 7Eleven is the best way to describe it. Definitely worth visiting for cleaning supplies around the house and more.

4 Stars: (by Anita P.)

If you want grocery items in bulk, Smart and Final is your answer. This particular store in West Los Angeles is large, well-stocked, and easily accessible. I was looking for party food for my husband's retirement party, and was able to do most of my shopping here (for around 70 people). Hard to find things, such as party mix in bulk, hamburger in bulk, and party plates in bulk, are all available. Prices are competitive. Staff was helpful, if somewhat in short supply, and I was directed to everything I needed. Large shopping carts are provided for the bulk buyer. Check-out lines were long, so I think you have to be patient. No one is buying one item, but rather, large amounts. Still, it is the place to go for this type of shopping.
