Bob Baker's Betterway Used Vehicle Supercenter Dealership

I purchased my 2006 Saturn Vue in Dec. 2007 at Bob Baker. When I went in to close the deal, I was told the price on the windshield was the sale price and the sale was over, even though it was still painted on the car. Then I was told I needed a different car alarm (over $700) in order to get financing and they raised the interest rate. The salesman was a nice guy, but the dealership was all about rape and pillage. The car's been a good ca, but I would never ever go to a Bob Baker dealership. I'm selling my Saturn now in order to buy my 1st new car. And, once again, I'm feeling the pain of Bob Baker as I see how upside down I am on this car.

So unless you want to learn a lesson on how not to buy, NEVER BUY A CAR FROM BOB BAKER AUTO GROUP. If you have any question feel free to email me at sandiegobd@aol.com and I'd even be happy to show you the contract.

Well... on 8/31/08 I wrote how great Bob Baker's Betterway Automotive was. Well, I now do not stand by the statement, other than I had a great salesman. They sold me a LEMON! I have been trying to get a car with a very obvious front end problem fixed for the last two months. To date, my car still is not repaired. Even Drew Hyundai serviced it three times for the same problem and they couldn't get it repaired. I was deceived and sold a rental car and they told me it was a lease return. In dealing with their sales manger Liz, I got nothing but lip service and a flippant attitude. I stopped dealing with them because of her unprofessionalism, shawdy repairs, and a lack of customer service. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! You will get taken.

On my third and final trip to a dealership to purchase a vehicle, I wondered into Bob Baker's.... My salesrep was Mark, an experienced and excellent gentleman and salesman. He pulled all the stops out to get me in a vehicle "I" liked and in the pricing and budget I needed. I hit a snag, because my credit union was only approving me up to a certain amount. At that point, pushed away from the table and was giving up--3 strikes out. Mark, my salesrep, would not let me give up, and he wasn't giving up on me. I said he wouldn't go through all the challenges if he didn't think they could sell me a car. Well 1 hour more in, I drove out of the dealership with the car I wanted, and at the price my credit union had approved. There were some mechanical issues, but they are on top of it. I take my car in Tuesday to have my concerns addressed. AWESOME JOB, BOB BAKER TEAM!!!

The reviews that are seen below are very historic and antiquated. Most are written by competitors when we were a Ford Franchise entity. Currently, to help the drastic falling share of Ford Market share of our friendly competitors, even though we were in the top 13 of the largest Certified Ford Dealer of 4000 in the USA and exceeded all dealers in Presidents Awards with 4 in row atop winning three TRIPLE CROWN AWARDS with Ford within 5 years with only 5 dealers in the USA accomplishing, we waived the flag first and NOW we are currently the Largest Independent Used Vehicle Dealership in San Diego.

Bob Baker Ford is a good dealership with some good deals. If you're looking for a truck, I'd say go Ford. The new Ford trucks are among the best and most truck guys agree. Also, if you're looking for a hybrid or fuel efficient car, Ford does have some good choices. Check them out and see what you like.

When I went to Bob Baker Ford's dealership looking for a car I was immediately greeted by a willing and able salesman. He proved to be very helpful and made my experience enjoyable.

If you love Ford's then this is the plave to go. They always have great prices on every kind of new and used Ford: Sedans, Compacts, Trucks, Vans, you name it! They also have a friendly atmosphere that makes it a better buying experience then other dealers. My mom bought a Matrix here and was able to trade in her old car for some credit.

The customer service that we get everytime we take the van in for work to be done is phenominal. They are always able to get the vehicle in an out in a minimal amount of time and are able to provide a loaner until the work is complete. They also provideshuttle service if you are only needing a day's worth of work and they will drive your car to you when they're done.
