Cheviot Hills Park  4 Star Rating - Very good

Cheviot Hills is a beautiful park located in the heart of Los Angeles that is simply breathtaking. This park is well kept with loads and loads of fun for the entire family. They have a swimming pool, golf course, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, playgrounds and picnic areas. This is a great park to do some power walking, walk the dog or spend a day of fun with the family without spending much money

5 Star Rating - World class

Excellent park for running, walking taking the kids you name it. It a beautiful part of West Los Angeles and with plenty of greenery. I've come here several times for walks and to get away from the hectic day of work and traffic. They also have a wonderful golf course at the edge of the park on Pico Blvd and it's really cheap if you're interested in hitting some golf balls. Check it out. A great place to get away and it's right in the city.

4 Star Rating - Very good

Perhaps one of the best multi-purpose parks in Los Angeles, Cheviot Park has a large outdoor swimming pool, numerous tennis courts, an indoor gym for basketball and volleyball, outdoor basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields, and picnic tables andbenches. It used to have an archery range, but I don't know if it is still operating. It is also adjacent to Rancho Golf Course. I really like this park because of its size and cleanliness, as well as for the obvious functional advantages of many facilities in one place. The location also means that heat issues are not as bad as in other parts of town. Really a lot of tennis courts...there need to be a few more parks like Cheviot Hills aroung LA County. The only drawback is that during summer months you must compete with Parks and Recreation Youth Day Camps that use this place extensively.
