Your review is helpful. I would love to have my nephew join your tutoring programing. He is has poor reading and writing skills. I know it is not to late for him learn or expansion his horizon.I know there is a waiting list, but I was hoping that if you have any other tutoring programs around the Seattle WA 98168 area.
This program helps youth that need it most! These students are either low-income, ESL, immigrant, or performing below their grade level (sometimes they are all of the above). Check their website for application requirements (www.ytpseattle.org). I am a tutor here, so I can provide an inside point-of-view. The center is an uplifting and challenging environment for students. There is a large group of students and tutors working together to encourage positive learning. Generally, we help students with homework, skill building, and reading. We are role models for them and have lots of fun playing games and various activities. The centers are well organized and the staff are committed to helping the kids! There is a waiting list because the kids enjoy it so much. They are not forced to come, but come voluntarily. If you are an adult and would like to volunteer, it is very rewarding! If you have kids who neep extra help in school, they will enjoy YTP.
