Amazing fresh seafood!  4 Star Rating - Very good

This place has amazing seafood! You gotta try their calamari, it is the best calamari I have ever tasted in my entire life. I love seafood, and this is definitely one of my favorite seafood restaurants!

Best Sunset Ever!  5 Star Rating - World class

You will love the seafood at Ray's Boathouse, whether it's for an intimate dinner, cocktails on the deck or a large party. Ray's has a gorgeous view of the Olympic Mountains across the Puget Sound. We have attended large parties and found them orchestrated beautifully. We have enjoyed happy hours specials on the deck during sunset. The food is delicious, the service is superior and the view will stay on your mind forever!

Favorite Restaurant in Seattle  5 Star Rating - World class

Ray's Boathouse has a wonderful view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. The wine and beer selections are always excellent and the seafood is an excellent reflection of Pacific Northwest cuisine. Large parties are handled professionally and happy hour specials are always a treat. Hard to beat enjoying salmon the deck, watching the sun set over the Olympic Mountains. Steamers are also always a treat, but you really can't go wrong at Ray's.

Seafood with a view!  5 Star Rating - World class

Ray's has an unbeatable view and a reputation for the best clam chowder in Seattle. All of their seafood is delicious. They have great drinks and one of the best happy hours in town in the upstairs cafe. You can get their awesome appetizers for just a few dollars each, and when you combine them with a fabulous cocktail and a world-class view, you have an unforgettable and cheap night out with friends. They are especially busy in the summers, but that is when the deck is open and the warm sun shines on the water. They also have a more elegant restaurant on the main floor, which is fabulous. They have some of the freshest and tastiest fish around.

View and more  5 Star Rating - World class

I like Ray's Boathouse versus some of the other high priced water front view restaurants. The appetizers are great, early or late and enough to enjoy a drink and some light food for the right price.

The finest seafood on the West Coast!!!  5 Star Rating - World class

No Kidding, Ray's Boathouse is the best restaurant in Seattle. It sits right on Elliot Bay, you can see AMAZING sunsets from the comfort of your seat. The Halibut cheeks were truly exceptional and they are also decently priced. You pay for what you get, and you get what you pay for. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!

PROS: DELICIOUS!!!

Great ambience 4 Star Rating - Very good

This is a great place for either happy hour or more formal dining. Each time I've visited, both the food and service were good. It sure doesn't hurt that the location has a water view.

Pros: View, food, service
Cons: Parking

Can't beat the view 4 Star Rating - Very good

Ray's Cafe...The atmosphere at this less expensive version of Ray's is amazing, you can't beat the view and the food is pretty good, not great, but good. The fish from the fish and chips has an odd flavor that I wasn't crazy about, but the tarter sauce was awesome. The calamari and crab cake apps were tasty. I will definitely go here again, just won't order fish and chips.

Pros: View
Cons: Bad Fish and Chips

Wasn't the Soundgarden frontman once a sous chef at ray's? 5 Star Rating - World class

Chris Cornell, I heard was once a sous chef at Ray's Boathouse. Of course, he went on to a great career with a seminal band, Soundgarden. Now he has his own restaurant in Paris, Black Calavados. Ray's Boathouse was excellent during my last visit, and i'm eager to return.

WE NEED EXECUTIVE CHEF CHARLES BACK!!!!!!!! 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

We went there for my dads 50th birthday and we were expecting to have a good time as we always loved the atmosphere and the food there. We waited for at least a half an hour after our reserved time and by then it was already getting very late. The new menu provided by the new head chef didn't even have their famous clam chowder on it. How could you take something that everyone comes to your restaurant to eat off the menu. The tables also didn't have any salt or pepper. Even Burger King has salt and pepper available for you. The portions were so small that you would almost think that they were appetizers. All around I am very disappointed in the new head chef. He obviously learned nothing from the old executive chef and I think that Rays will lose many of its long time loyal customers
