4 Stars: Good noodle place (by Edward P.)

This place provides large bowls of ramen of many different varieties and you will not leave hungry. The broth is very flavorful and the noodles are a good texture. There are a limited number of dishes for the non-ramen eating crowd.

3 Stars: Asahi Ramen offers different kinds of ramen (by Yuho Q.)

Asahi Ramen has been around for years and has many fans. They have different kinds of ramen with some side dishes. Their ramen is good, but it is usually crowded. Also, street parking can be difficult to find during dinner hours.

4 Stars: Asahi Ramen is delicious (by karen g.)

Love the ramen noodles here. The broth is delicious and the noodles are chewy and wonderful. I love the gyoza too. Street parking is all they have so you need to be willing to walk.

4 Stars: ramen for the soul (by Jackie V.)

I am a regular at this ramen place and its much better than the one around the corner which will go unmentioned. Quality is definitely what I think of when I come here. They hook it up so a bowl of ramen is not JUST a bowl of ramen. My personal preference is the miso ramen or the tanmen ramen. In terms of the appetizers, I always get the ban ban ji which is shredded chicken and cucumber. They only take cash so be sure to go to an atm before coming here. It's definitely worth the trouble.

4 Stars: Great Broth and Noodles (by Jared N.)

Overall, the food is fantastic. The broth is marvelous, never too salty or watered down. The noodles bounce back and are not mushy. The restaurant is small though, so you will usually have to wait. The only thing is that after tax and tip, you have paid $10+ for noodles, and I do not see that as any sort of value.

4 Stars: Cheap Noodles (by Stacey l.)

When you are in need of the quick fix for asian ramen noodles, this is the only place on the west side that serves it. The food is cheap, fast and warm. Although the noodles are not to par with authentic japanese noodles in japan, they are the closest thing you can get on the West Side. If you go on the weekend especially Saturday Noon time be prepared to wait in a short line. Although the decor is not anythign special the food is well worth it. They also have very good fried rice. the best noodles there is the miso ramen.

4 Stars: (by Cristin D.)

This is where I go to satisfy my ramen cravings! Always a line, just put your name on the list and wait outside -- it moves fast. Huge ramen portions & great dumplings. No alcohol menu, but you can practically eat a feast for pennies!
