This is one of the greatest theaters in Los Angeles. Not to mention the perfect location in The Grove, it's very high-techy with computers that will take your food order! The classic interior has almost the same feel as Mann's Chinese theater in Hollywood. Bathrooms are always well maintained (which I like) and I highly recommend going there on weekdays when most theaters are almost empty.

Best movie theater in town

You won't find a better theater than this, with maybe the exception of an IMAX (and that's just because of the screen). The stadium seating at the Grove is so comfortable, and the new way they set up concessions so you can order on touch screen and pick them up really beats standing and waiting in line.

Expensive but worth it

The Pacific Theaters at the Grove is of the more expensive places to see a movie in LA, but it's also one of the nicer places to see a movie in LA. The lobby is impressive and the theaters themselves are very well-kept. There often are films here that haven't opened anywhere else yet. Celebrites are all over the place.
Sometimes it can be a hassle to park in the garage and on the weekends, shows are often sold out. Buy the tickets online beforehand or go early to avoid being disappointed (that has happened to me several times).
PROS:
CONS: Expensive, shows often sold out on the weekends

I love this theater! It's clean, elegant and perfectly located in the Grove! The atmosphere is very upscale and I think their ticket price reflects just that ; ) You can get your tickets validated for 1st 3 hours (for theater patron only) then pay just $2 for additional hour. I like the red carpet and the usher who is dressed in an traditional theater uniform and a hat. They always have good movies and the dining experience afterward at the Grove is superior to none! Big screens, great sound and large auditoriums.

Located in the Grove Shopping Center, you can count on them to play all your latest releases. With stadium seating and a great sound system, this newer theatre is the place to go.

This theatre is not only good, it is ridiculous. The interior has very nice carpet, huge paintings and murals and a very richly decorated interior. While the arcade zone is lacking, it doesn't seem so bad because the rest is so incredibly nice. Also, while arcade's are fun at movie theatres, it's not that big of a deal since you probably went there to see a movie, not play games. Although the prices could be less, as with every theatre, it seems like the high prices these days went toward paying for this incredibly nice theatre!

The Gove is a cool place in general, and the theater is no exception. Nice and automated, the ushers wear old-fashioned uniforms, but you can order your Twizzlers by computer.

A few different screens, but they're all good. High tech projection and sound, and bonus -- you can order your food and have it delivered to your seat. Digital projection.

this is our favorite movie theatre in town. first of all, all of the seating is stadium seating -- which means there is never anyone blocking your view. second of all, they have fantastic popcorn. only bad thing is that since there are no more validations, you have to pay for parking.

This is one of my favorite theatres in Los Angeles. Luckily I always go on Sunday Mornings or during the week so Ive never been turned away because a movie was sold out. The seats are super comfortable and the theater itself is always clean. It never gets to cold or hot and the sound is perfect. The tickets and concession stand are a bit pricey but no more than other local theaters. There Customer service is terrific and bathrooms are tended to regularly, Great place for a date or to catch a few flicks during the week with no noise and a semi empty theater Sunday though Thursday

WE LOVE TO GO TO THE PACIFIC THEATERS AT THE GROVE. THE SEATS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. SINCE THEY HAVE STADIUM SEATING, EVERY SEAT HAS AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW.

This place is cush. I think the reconstruction of an old theatre house is too cool. It makes me want to join munch celluloid and live in the 40's. The ticket prices are all a standard fat 14 bucks? I'd say hold off unless you are seeing something worth that expense. The Grove here has many other shops and places to go while you wait to see a movie.

Oh this is adult playland. The Grove is a mini las vegas. The theatre is amazingly big and showcase lots of the newly released movies. It is a bit pricey but fun to check out at least once in your life. It is more exciting at night because you can see the water show just outside of the theatre. Lots of other attractions at the Grove too.

This is one of the coolest movie theatres I have visited. Its almost the most expensive. Weekend movies are $12!!! Unbelievable. I would save this place for the early shows that cost less or the weekdays are less expensive than friday and saturday night. Also, they have kiosks you can order to popcorn and drinks from. High Tech...but you pay for it.

In addition to being one of the very best star-spotting sites in L.A., the Grove has an awesome layout that makes it perfect for buying tickets for one flick, and staying for three or four more. :) Just buy some popcorn at one of the awesome automated kiosks--the theater only gets ten percent of ticket sales but keeps all of concessions sales. Great stadium seating, good projection. Only downside is all the humiliation everyone feels on behalf of the employees who have to wear the heinous bellboy outfits. :)

If you like waiting in line on weekends but rubbing elbows with the stars as they too go to the movies than this is the place for you. First rate theaters all with stadium seats smack dab in the middle of The Grove and all its attractions is the perfectway to spend an evening. Do yourself a favor though and enjoy during the week when there are a lot less crowds and less of a risk finding your movie "sold-out."
