i went to curtis to get highlights done because of the previous reviews, and they were not wrong. he is such a nice guy and really likes to chat and get to know you. i would have given him a better rating, but the first time i came, it didn't come out anything like i had asked. i wasn't necessarily mad or upset, but he welcomed me back free of charge to make it my hair lighter, which is what i wanted. but the second time around, it came out PERFECT.

I've been going to Curtis for three years. He not only cuts and colors my hair he also did my hair for my wedding. I was very pleased on my wedding day and every visit I have had with him. He is so reasonable and absolutely wonderful. He definitely makes sure that you are getting what you want. I completely recommend him- plus he's great to talk to as you are getting your hair done. Curtis eventually becomes a part of the family.

curtis is truly an expert with hair--quick, confident, knowledgeable, and so fun to chat with! i trust him completely with my hair, and he's very easy and entertaining to talk with--you really feel like you're just hanging out with a good friend while you sit in the chair.

the first moment i walked in the door, curtis really impressed me with how beautifully he fixed my woebegone hair (a sadly choppy "layered" cut) into the best haircut i've ever had (i never knew "a graduated bob" could look so good!).

once you visit studio 55, you won't feel like going anywhere else!

My wife started going to to Curtis after her was recommended for our wedding. Our original person canceled at the last minute. My wife has been going ever since, and it has now been 9 years. I started going to Curtis a few years after we were married so I guess that makes it about 7 years. We have been both very happy with Curtis. Seeing Curtis every month is like catching up with a friend that you have had for years. The additional perk is that he gives great haircuts and colors. My wife has referred numerous people to Curtis who have also been very happy with Curtis and Studio 55..

Curtis is now my permanent hairstylist. My sister has also converted. Not only does he cut your hair the way you want, he makes it even better! Prices are extremely reasonable as well.

I have been going to Cutris at Studio 55 for over 12 years. I will not let anyone else cut my hair. He is terrific. He did my hair for my wedding and a few of my bridesmaids. Curtis is very reliable and extreamly resonable.

started going to Curtis at Studio 55 nearly 6 years ago simply because it was close to my office. 5 moves later, still going as well as wife and kids, too. Wife became a fast convert and that's saying a lot.

PROS: friendly, professional, prompt.
CONS:

A friend and I went in yesterday to get our hair cut with Curtis. While I left to run a quick errand - twenty minutes or less - he started on my friend. By the time I got back, she was trimmed and layered, and drying.

Curtis was very quick, and very talkative - in a good way. It is fun to be in his chair. I felt like he really knew what he was doing, and has a lot of experience under his belt.

I'll be going back today for color - we'll see how it goes!

This is a friendly small place to get a haircut or color. Curtis is a great hair-stylist and knows what he's doing. I was very happy with my haircut and hi-lights. Very reasonably priced.
