They wanted me to pay my deductible before they could perform the procedure. Other hospitals bill me for my deductible, why can't they?
They said they tried to call me (about my deductible) but my home phone does not accept unlisted phone numbers.
The day before, someone from the hospital was able to contact me (at home) to confirm my appointment and she had no problems getting to me. She even told me to dress comfortably and to bring an I.D. and an insurance card, which I did. Will I want to come back to this hospital after a bad experience from the start? Of course not! I'd go to Anaheim Memorial instead where their people are friendlier and they bill for deductibles.
Don't go through the same experience I did.
You have choices, use them.

My mom recently had gasterontoligical surgery here and we didn't even know that this hospital had existed prior to that. It is a smaller hospital tucked away behind other buildings. The staff is very helpful and her outpatient surgery went successfully. The hospital is easily accessible and has convenient parking. The staff is multi-lingual for those individuals whom english is not a native language.
