I took my daughter to the Palmdale Hometown Buffet on the afternoon of Friday, April 22, 2005 at approximately 1pm before picking my son up from school. The restaurant was not all that crowded. My first stop was the salad bar. I picked up 4 of the clear salad plates and all of them had something encrusted on them. I did not search any further. I used a dinner plate for our salads. When I went to get forks for us, several of them had food encrusted on them as well, a good amount of food on a couple of them. I'm surprised this got past your dish washers. I found 2 clean looking ones and sat down.
The service at the register was very friendly and the food was decent, but the woman assigned to our table never collected a single dish even though our table was filled with empty dishes after about 30 minutes and 3 trips to the buffet. She did pass our table several times but never stopped at ours. I meant to bring this to the attention to a manager before leaving but I was too frustrated by the time I left.
I can only hope that your employees will be encouraged to pay more attention to detail in the future.
PROS: Food variety, fast
CONS: Unclean, neglectful
