This is a great local place to go to spend the day. The aquarium is so much fun for big and little kids. My little ones love the open pools up at the top with the sharks and various other sea creatures that can be touched. Cafe is so-so, kind of expensive but the various exhibits are great.
After you visit the aquarium take a walk around the pier area. It has really been cleaned up and there are some fantastic places to eat down there. It is a day of fun!

All you ever want to learn about ocean is in this great place in long beach. You can easily reach it by public transportation and take your kids. they have lots of things to do so the annual membership is probably worth, you'll definitely wll feel like you want to come back more than once. Great store also.

Aquarium of the Pacific is the best museum I have been too. It is in a really architecturally beautiful building that is in just the perfect setting by the ocean. They have plenty of parking available at a fee, of course. The place has many tanks with so many sea creatures of numerous varieties. I love watching the sharks being fed and my kids find that fascinating as well. I forget how many times we have been to this museum since we have gone so many times and still love to go again.

I think this place is great to bring your kids, grandkids, nieces, bring them all.... It's just great here the kids will love it and have fun looking at all the great sea creatures that God gave us. Come early so the crowds don't leave you behind.

My kids loved it but I only thought it was OK. They have some tide pools that the kids can actually touch but the shows get crowded fast and if you don't get a good seat early on you will have a hard time seeing it.
