There's alot to see at Fort Mason. The warehouses are now turned into museums and galleries and I believe this is where the harvest festival is at every year. Nice area of San Francisco to visit.

The fort mason center holds some of the best shows in San Francisco. For instance, the Fall arts and crafts show is held here every year. I even attended a company party held at one of the warehouse and it was a blast!!!

Visiting the Fort Mason Center has taught me a lot about Word war two history. When youwalk around, you get a feel that youare part of teh era. You visit bunkers where soliders rested and cannons tha they used. there is alo an area for shopping and small restaurants. I also ran across a bowling alley, but I did not go in. This is a great place to take the family to learn about history and to have fun at the same time. Its a great place to absorb the history that you are only able to read in textbooks.

Fort Mason Center is a World War II embarkation point that has been transformed into a regional cultural center. Former warehouses are now galleries, workshops, classrooms, studios, and even a well-known vegetarian restaurant. Four theatres, museums, a second-hand bookstore, numerous craft studios, and about fifty resident non-profit organizations are also here. A variety of events are presented weekly. Daily 8 a.m.-midnight. Free; charges for some events and galleries.
