Reviews for tower records

Ratings_icons Lots of Classical

Kathleen A. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 43

If you like classical music or any music, Tower Records has everything. I even found a rare Christmas CD one year that literally no one in town had. I like their classical section the most as I can't think of anything they do not have or cannot order for you.

I like Tower Records and I like the new store.
Their collection of especially classical music
is great. Probably one of the best in Seattle.
I do miss the old location, it was an easy
on and off 99.

Tower is pretty much the authority in CD stores. They have just about any CD known to man, and they can probably order it if they don't have it in stock. They have a better selection of DVDs now than they used to. The staff is somewhat friendly, and their prices can be a little on the high side, but go when they're having sales and it will be all worth it. It's also nice to go to check out music that isn't necessarily on the radio, too.

I miss the old Tower Records near the Seattle
Center. The parking was easy and it was a
quick jump back onto 99. This store is
good as well. You can't beat the selection
at Tower Records but something leaves
me cold about the new location.

Tower records has been around it seems forever. Every time I go to a new city, I check out the Tower Records to see something reliable. With that said, I wish Tower could find a way to lower cd prices, have a wider variety of records/vinyl (since it's in the name and all), and get some more folks up front to help me out when I'm waiting in line for 10 minutes. Picked up a led zepplin dvd on sale, so that was good at least.
