Mercado AMC 20

Mercado AMC 20 is a typical movie theater, but I wouldn't choose Mercado AMC 20 to be my absolute favorite movie theater. Why, you question? Well, the seats are too old and not too comfortable.

This is your typical movie theatre. The only downside is that parking is horrible at night and on the weekends. I don't always feel safe if I am alone because you have to park so far away.

Mercado AMC 20 is kind of big theatre, it has cozy seats. The food is really good; It is very clean and organized. They have 2 small arcades here so kids can play before they come watch a movie.

the only movie theater that i go to, because it has the most comfortable seats, i usually don't have problems with getting into movies, but parking is hard

Mercado holds fond memories for me. I used to go here practically every weekend during my youth, especially in high school. The parking lot gets really jam packed on the weekends, so I suggest parking across the street at Mission college. But, pay attention to the signs and make sure you don't park on a restricted day. The cops love ticketing here. Lines can get long, but it's always fun to people watch while you're waiting. If there's a lag time before your movie starts, there's tons of places next to the theater to grab a bite or snack on ice cream. The theater is nice and large inside with an arcade. Security has gotten strict, but a few years ago it was easy for kids to hop in and out of different screens.

CONS: there's such a thing as TOO many cool teenagers

Mercado is a HUGE movie theatre. They have a lot of movies playing usually, and usually a good selection of playing times. They are typically priced, with outrageously expensive food. They have a lot of parking, but it gets easily crowded. They have food options around to eat before, such as Tomatina, and a Ben and Jerry's just a few stores away for after the movie!

If I am going to see a movie in the theater, this is the place I prefer to go to. It is HUGE and therefor gets pretty crowded on the weekends or when a big new movie is released, but they have so many screens that you can usually get in to whichever one you want to see. The parking can be a hassel, since it seems that the planning of it wasn't all that well thought out. The surrounding retail stores are very nice as well and there is a large variety of restaurants around I case you want to eat before your show starts.

The theater itself is very nice and plush. The seating is very comfortable and almost always very clean. The restroom facilities are nearly always clean. I don't know about the men's room, but the ladies room is huge, which is nice when a few movies let out at once.

Mercado is a great theater, all are stadium seating and large screens. They always have the best movies out here. You can expect to have any opening movie here.

But as a result there are a ton of kids here. If going during the summer, expect to have a hard time getting parking and getting seats. It is to the point where we are deterred from going here. There are also a lot of teenage kids here, so expect adlibs during the movie and lot of shouting and hollering at the movie.

Parking is very difficult here. There aren't many spaces in the front of the theater and shops, but there are a lot of spaces in the shady area in the back. My friend parked in the back and some kids got some spray paint and graffitied his car. So park with caution, again there are a lot of kids attracted to this location.

the theatre here in santa clara is very nice. this is one of the most descent and nicest movie theatres that i have ever been to in the bay area. it's kept clean, the workers are nice and the people there are very respectful and descent. the ticket prices are also good. i like the whole entire plaza itself. very romantic.

THIS THEATRE IS WONDERFUL. I REALLY ENJOYED IT AND LIKED IT A LOT. THE PEOPLE HERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND ONE OF THE WORKERS EVEN GAVE US A DISCOUNT ON THE TICKET PRICE. VERY SPECTACULAR AND NICE. CHEAPER THAN OTHER MOVIE THEATRES. NICE PLACE TO GO WITH PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT!

this place is VERY nice. looks like a very elegant theatre. the plaza around here looks very magical and elegant as well. i really liked this place. it's very nice and it's perfect for the first daters. movies are not cheap, but they are cheaper than century theatres. i really recommend this place, it's beautiful.

This is a popular hangout for movie goers on the weekend. Parking is free and there is plenty of it for all your family and friends. Although sometimes you have to park a ways off, since this place can get crowded at times. The snacks there are your usual insanely priced varieties, not the the snack brand names, but the movie prices for the snacks.

The weekends are usually crowded with college kids. The movie selection is varied and you can use Fandango there too. I'd recommend buying your tickets online because the line for tickets can be a wait at times. And besides, Fangao is not a wild beast, it a convenient way to get tickets online.
