Hillsdale Shopping Center

Hillsdale is a good first stop for shopping before traveling further. The stores are clean and organized and lately Hillsdale has made positive improvements.

I like to shop here when I am looking for art works and other paint works. The mall has huge parking lot and it is also accessible by public transportation. I dont see many thug and gangsta wannabees like in Stonestown. I really like this mall.

I really like shopping here because they have a great selection of stores to shop in - they have high-end and lower-end stores - they have some really neat specially stores - and of course they have the Disney Store - they have a food court that is pretty good.

Hillsdale shopping center is one of my favorite store to shop at. Not only because they have alot of the store I love to shop at but it's a beautiful mall. It is one of the biggest malls in the Bay Area with a large food court.

I love this mall. It has my favorite stores such as Nordstroms, macy's, mervyns, and the bear factory. It's a fun place to spend a day shopping with my daughter.

Hillsdale is fancier than most other malls in the area. It is definitely geared at the upper middle class. It is fancy and has some fancy stores, but they have a wide variety of stores and a big food court with tons of seating.

I LIKE TO SHOP AT HILLSDALE MALL IT HAS ALOT OF GREAT STORES TO SHOP AT AND LOTS OF PLACES TO EAT AT. THE MALL HAS ALOT OF PARKING AVAIL. AND IS LOCATED OF THE FREEWAY

I sometimes shop at the Hillsdale Shopping Center. Its pretty conveniently located right off the freeway with lots of parking available. Their major department stores are Macys, Nordstrom, Mervyns and Sears. Their food court is okay, they only have a few to select from but they have several restaurants though like Romanos Macaroni Grill and TGI Fridays.

1st: Why do I like this mall? It has nice selection of stores like Macy, Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer, Mervyn's, the usual stuff you see in malls.

2. Why do I hate this mall? Let me tell you something about me. I was raised in San Mateo county since 1971. I have been coming to Hillsdale Shopping Center before they were a mall. It used to be a loose conglomeration of independently standing stores such as Macy's, JCPenny (before they folded), Sears, etc. They actually built the mall around these stores which is why you have the funky shape that goes around Macy's and the big dept stores. It is also why the mall has kind of a laid back, airy, "LA" type feel to it.

Everytime I walk into a store, ANY store (that is not a women's clothing store) nobody ever greets you. Macy's is the worst. You could spend 1 hour walking around in the men's dept and nobody will greet you or help you. I know because last december I spent an hour down there (late at nite when it wasn't busy) and nobody helped me. Nobody offers to help (unless they are a brand new employee). It has been this way for decades. I only shop at Hillsdale shopping center when I need something and I don't want to drive all the way to Valley Fair which is a REAL mall with professional courteous salespeople.

3. Are they a great deal or expensive? No, Hillsdale is not a great deal more expensive than other malls, but they are expensive if the clothing is not on sale.

4. Do they specialize in anything? No. Other malls such as Stonestown offer nice electronics stores like Cambridge Soundworks or a McWhorter's - which is one of my fav stationery stores. They do not offer the litany of cell phone and gift "booths" that Southland Mall does. They do not have the exotic asian restaurants and flavors that the Great Mall at Milpitas does, and they don't offer an Aeropostale, Timberland store and other specialty shops like Valley Fair Mall does. They are a plain "vanilla" mall if there is such a thing.

This place really meets your needs. I wouldnt say that it has a lot of original stores, but the essentials are there. The main thing about the mall is that its really big (and two stories) and it really has no crowds. You can just walk around freely, it never gets crowded (unless it a big holiday or something.) Overall pleasant.

I used to go to this shopping mall a lot, but recently I;ve kind of stopped. Maybe there are just better ones out there. But it has all the essentials: Clairs, macy's, express. The nice this about the mall is that it is really big, but the crowds are really small. You don't have to be pusshing around in your favorite store, but you can be comfortable. But for some people this is just boring, they like all the activity aroudn them.

This mall mostly has everything I NEED, not a lot of stuff I want (meaning, not a lot of original clothes that every girl at my high school doesn't already have :). They have a really nice food court, nice specialty stores (pens, gifts, mattresses). I LOVE their Macy's, they can have some crazy deals there sometimes (juniors and shoe section!). They have really nice staff in most of the stores in Hillsdale. It's two floor, and never usually crowded until Christmas time (and even, then, you can still shop comfortably!).

Hillsdale shopping center is big with a lot of great stores in it. There are four department stores: macys, nordstrom, mervyns and sears. They have stores like Gap, abercrombie, pacsun, body shop, zumies, old navy, banana republic, etc. I like to shop here because it is not too far from san francisco and it has many great stores for everyone to enjoy.

i love to do my shopping here. The mall is huge, yet it is not crowded. They have all kinds of stores and more are on the way. The parking isn't too bad either. The inside of the mall is also quite nice and clean. Overall I would give this place 5 stars.

this mall has a few good selections. it's sort of small, but looks big for the outside. it's actually very nice looking inside and out. feels like you're in LA sort of. the good stores here are macys and nordstrom. as for everything else, i dont pay much attention to. nice lego factory for the kids! nice place. descent.

I am not a mall kind of person, but I like shopping at this center. It's conveniently located, has most major department stores, and is seldom overcrowded. This allows me to go get what I need with a minimum of fuss.

this mall is very nice. i enjoyed it a lot. it is small but good enough for me. it is very simple and not tiring to walk or look around. i like the stores, they had a nordstrom and that's one of my favorite stores. any mall that has a nordstrom gets an A from me.

this mall is actually very nice. the mall looks nice outside and inside. very trendy and fashionable stores, not many selections but enough for all the different varietys out there. not a lot of food places to eat, so i recommend that you go elsewhere to get food. across the mall is another plaza that has retail stores as well.

This is a decent size mall. There is a good size food court here too. The mall is like by many locals and families. It is conveniently located near a CALTRAIN station and there is a Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstore next to the mall.

There is plenty of parking here and the mall has been renovated recently. The mall is also very easy to get to from the 101. Sure this mall is not as big as Valley Fair Mall, but it is a pretty good size mall that is clean and kid friendly. I'd recommend this mall as it is not too busy and it is not too barren. It's just right to not make you ffel claustrophobic.
