Sony Metreon

This is an awesome place to hang out with your family. You can find something to do for just about anyone. You can check out the latest movie or the latest video game or bowl. This whole area is a very cool place.

if anyone knows how to make a theater, it's sony. it boasts 15+ screens, an arcade, an one of a kind playstation store, several bars and restaurants, and the famous sonystyle store. i found that the newer movies were placed in large auditoriums, and the sizes of the screen was quite impressive. the older movies are pushed back into regular sized rooms, with acceptable sized screens. although the prices for the movies are more expensive than most (say amc 1000), it is worth the extra buck or two. seats are comfortable and before the screening there is usually a cart that comes by with drinks and snacks if you havent picked them up already.

This is where I can try out all the newest games for my play station 2. Before I purchase a new game I have to test it out here at the Metreon first. I usually go here with my girlfriend at least once a month to check out the new games then watch a movie upstairs. They have all the latest games and accessories for your playstation.

The Sony Metreon is cool because there is a lot to do here besides see movies. You can check out the latest Sony gadgets, play games, grab a bite to eat from one of the many restaurants in there, go to the bar, there truly is more than just movies to this place!

This is a fun place to hang out in for the day. It has a big movie theater, an arcade, tons of shops and some good restaurants (including a piano bar). I especially like the cyber bowling in the arcade--something you have to try at least once!! The only downside is just how crowded this place gets. It's always hopping!

i'm not really into the technology thing but some things here are amazing. They also have a theater on the 3rd floor i believe. Its really nice. I just didn't find much to do after looking around for a good 30 mins.

This is a weird place - it has a huge movie theatre in it which is great but the stores in the mall part of it are weird and never 'speak' to me and so easy to bypass. This place is only good because of the number of movie theatres - no other reason

PROS: large # of movie theatres
CONS: very crowded and bad stores in the mall part of it

the arcade here is really nice. good games and very new games. looks very clean, has a nice look. the whole entire building looks very nice. nice electronics.

This place is awesome for all those that like technology. There is a playstation store, where you can play the latest games on the playstations, there is even an arcade. There is also an IMAX theater, which is simply awesome and a food court.

There's also a nice Jelly Bean place, that you should definitely check out.

The view from the balcoy is spectacular at night.

there's nothing here. everything that they do have here is an attempt to make you spend more and more money. they have an electronics section with all sony items, a jelly bean section, model toys section, arcade section, restaurant section and a VERY expensive movie theatre...no thank you.

nothing much is here. for first timers, i guess you'll be enjoying it. i just liked the sony area with the games but that's all. everything else is useless.

it's a nice place filled with a lot of things such as music, books, computers and electronics and an arcade. other than that, it's quite boring. i really do not find myself doing much of these things and i end up walking around being really bored. i liked the sightseeing, i guess...but it's not much to see. it is very nice though.

i had a lot of fun here. i really liked their huge arcade. i just didn't like how you had to purchase a minimum in order to play. this place is full of people and they have a really nice park outside with a waterfall and everything. nice spots to lay down and catch some rays but bring a blanket!

everyone comes here on a visit to san francisco. it's a widely known tourist area. here is where you'll find all the sony products, music, jelly bean factory, toy store, and huge arcade. they also have a dining area, which is very pricey. the building is absolutely marvoulous and at night you can step outside to balcony and get a spectacular view. sometimes, they hold events at the metreon, such as dance nights. this is a place that you don't want to miss out on.

PROS: great range of activities that you cannot get bored of.
CONS: no parking, so take the bart or bus.

This place follow the lastest trends in technology. They have very unique gadgets in here and you can play around with it too. You can also watch a movie on the thrid floor i believe. They have a playstation store and an arcade. You don't use tokens in the arcade but a card. You just slide it in and use it. So thats pretty cool. You don't have to search for coins and put them in one at a time. They have hyperbowling too. Its a pretty cool place. Outside theres this park where people just hang around and relax. Its really nice. I recommend any body to go and check this place out.

This is a cool place. It has IMAX, movie theater, food court, video games, and all other sony electronics. Parking is convenient here and many people like to visit this place. It's even popular with the tourists.

There's all things Sony here. You can check out all the freshest sony gear. There's even a playstation store here. Oh and there's also an arcade here where you can play all the latest arcade games or simulators. Try the bowling ball simulator game.

If you are in San Francisco, be sure to check out the Metreon, it's a great place to kick it. There are multiple levels to this place and maybe you'll bump into some characters from the book "Where the Wild Things Are". I think this is the only store of it's kind in the US?

PROS: Cool and unique place. Must see it to experience it.
