The staff really knows their kites, and they even have a try before you buy test fly program, where they will teach you the real way to fly a kite properly. They sell top notch kites, of all kinds, including acrobat stunt kites, and quad line foil kites. Of course, they have a large selection of average, every day kite flying kites as well. The location of this shop (Seaport Village) just happens to be near one of the best parks for flying kites anywhere in San Diego. This is the place to get the feeling..... I found Kite Flite at Seaport Village in San Diego. What a place it is too.... All kinds of kites, windsocks, hammocks, etc.... They do have the best kites for a maximum of fun that I have experienced. We splurged and bought an expensive masterpiece of theirs and went to Mission Bay and had a BALL with it.. The wind is perfect there and it took off with little effort which amazed me... They had to reteach us how to fly a kite in the store which they did with no problem. You get what you pay for and you do pay alot but you get alot.

PROS: Not everything is pricey in the shop.
CONS: What I like is pricey in the shop
