This place is good. They have a nice menu, and a lot of healthy alternatives. It is close to the freeway if you are looking for a quick bite before returning to work.

Ratings_icons Delicious healthy food

I have been to Hugo's with vegans, vegetarians, organic fish-eaters and carnivores. I have never had any complaints. I love it. I love their breakfasts & lunches. For dinner, they really turn the place into a different restaurant. There's wine and tablecloths. It's sort of like having a fancy-ish dinner at your favorite breakfast place. I really like the waitstaff and they are very accomodating. Lots of nice fish dishes too. The bulgarian omelette is very very good.

PROS: Always delicious
CONS: A teeny bit pricey at night.

Ratings_icons Good choice for all styles of eating

Lauren W.

As a vegan with vegetarian friends and carnivor friends and family it is always a challenge to find places where everyone can be happy with the food. Hugo's menu not only provides multiple choices for all styles of eating, but everyone can be assured that the food they get will be very good.
The most common comment I hear from people I take is "Wow, this is a (fill in the blank with whatever they are not) restaurant"?
Everyone leaves having had good food, good service, and with a desire to go back.

PROS: Good food that accomodates all eating styles
CONS:

Ratings_icons Hollywood Power Lunch

This is a busy restaurant, mainly because the food is great, the have a parking lot, and the service is fast and friendly. It's a very Hollywood crowd for the valley, with agents and managers, producers, etc. I don't know how many pitches I've heard there, but it's fun to feel the buzz in this restaurant. It's a fairly well dressed, more professional crowd for a Valley restaurant.

Ratings_icons Hugo's In The Valley Is a Hidden Treasure

Matthew W.

A lot of people are already familiar with Hugo's sister restaurant on the "west side" but this valley jewel is just as good and is always packed. Sunday brunches are difficult to get into but once you've been seated, you'll enjoy a nice experience, good/friendly service and incredible food. Their late night dinners (8pm to closing) are great too. Parking's always a bit of a challenge unless you're okay with parking on Riverside Drive (if you can find a spot). If you live in Valley Village (read: North Hollywood around Coldwater/Riverside), this is the perfect place to walk to and enjoy with a friend or loved one. The menu consists of mostly American cuisine, some pastas, incredible cinnamon swirl rolls for breakfast, sandwiches, great salads, etc... Good wine list too.

PROS: - great food, service, location, overall experience
- good menu, lots to choose from
CONS: - coffee in clear glasses (not my cup of... well, coffee)
- parking is somewhat problematic
- always busy (good & bad)
