Thank you for this warning. We were also approached by a "buyer" for this store. However, as we are based overseas had requested up front payment before shipping the goods. Not surprisingly the buyer has since disappeared.

Please beware! Some warning signs for us - the "buyer" refused to provide a phone number despite repeated requests and was also interested only in our most expensive items and lastly as a new client the buyer was placing a surprisingly large order for a boutique.

I think I ALMOST got into the same situation as these people! But thank GOD the package was not delivered and is now being sent back to me. THANKS FOR THE WARNING!!!

This location is no longer Melissa M. Someone posing as the buyer for this store bought a large quantity of wholesale goods from my company and created a fake COD check that UPS accepted! I just wanted to warn any other wholesalers that might be checking to see that this is a real store- BEWARE!

Its a boutique so its small and expensive. If your really willing to splurge then yeah this would be a good place to go to. The people working always seem to be kind of stuck up and they would always stare at me. Theres clothes in there you could find somewhere else for a lot cheaper but then theres clothes you probably would have a hard time finding somewhere else. I bought a shirt there that was VERY expensive but I got it because I really couldnt think of somewhere else where I could get it plus there was only a melissam tag on it so I didnt know what brand it was. Overall I think the clothes are nice but the prices are just way too much for me. Ill buy something there once in a great while and only if its something I couldnt find anywhere else.

every single time I go in there to pick up an outfit for a party
or something...I end up with a new pair of great fitting jeans
AND my fun party clothes.
great atmosphere, fun people....killer music.
melissa helped me personally with my jean fitting
questions and put together a great outfit.
personalized service, quality merch....great!
im addicted!

PROS: great merchandise
CONS: wish it carried more shoes.

I went into the store hoping to buy a cute outfit but the owner(who looked like she just woke up) was rude to me and wouldn't answer my questions. I found the merchandise to be stuff from downtown LA stalls and poorly displayed.The one nice guy working was being yelled at by the owner for not being able to find her cell phone and I just think the place was unpleasant. I totally don't think they are still open because it seems like the store is always closed. Don't shop here.

PROS: nice salespeople
CONS: the disgusting owner cheap clothing

I wish there were more shops out there like this. Great merchandise and gifts, crazy fun music. Great smelling candles.
The prices on jeans great for the lables she carries.
I met the owner one Saturday and she let me bring my dog in
and even gave her water while I tired on my jeans.
Needless to say..that service sealed the deal.
Great tees from Splendid. Theyre my favorite. !!!!!

PROS: relaxed friendly atmosphere. personalized service.

melissa m is the only reason i drive all the way to south pas. period. i love the store....amazing jeans selection and reasonable sizes. i dont know what that rachel(eeww) girl is talking about that everything is tiny....i wear a size lg and there was tons of cute stuff that fit me...great prices..good lables...kinda like an eastsiders Kitson. compared to the rest of the kind of weird stores in this town....melissa m stand out. they really do know whats going on in fashion. the music is super edgy...the salespeople are awesome. melissa herself wrties these cute emails about the upcoming events and merch so get on her email list. melissamshop@hotmail.com. i hope they dont realize how great they are and move to the westside or anything. plain and simple..MELISSAM RULES THE SCHOOL!

PROS: reasonable sizes, great style, fun to shop
CONS: none.

Went to this store and when I walked in all of the sales people just stared at me like I was a Freak. No one said hello, they just kept gossiping to themselves. She has cute clothes but she marks them up way more than other places. I guarentee that you can find any lines that she carries at other stores for way less money. I asked the owner a question (Interupting her unimportant gossip conversation) and she snapped at me) and then gave me a look like I was below her. like she was so exclusive and I was a lower class citizen. I will never shop at this store again. The service is horrible, She marks the clothes up way higher than she should, and she only buys itty bitty sizes. If any one walks in that is bigger than a size 6 she will look at you like you are a fat pig. It was the worst shopping experiance of my life!!!!! Spread the word.....

PROS: Cute Clothes
CONS: Rude Sales People, Overpriced, only Small Sizes, Bad Vibe

They have very trendy clothes, shoes, scarves, jewelry, and so many other girly things around the store. They have sales all the time but for the most part it's on the high end of prices. One of my favorite skirts is from this store!!!
