what everyday music lacks in atmosphere (which, i know, sounds lame, whatever) they make up in selection. two floors of music, how can you go wrong.
i can pretty much always find what im looking for at every day music. and always really cheap.
their vinyl selection is huge. and i really like how all the cds are mixed together, instead of separated into new and used categories.
just dont forget to check your bags when you enter

This Music shop has it all. I am a big fan of Underground Music and rare, hard to find Old Rap from the mid to late 80s.
I was suprised to find this store through a friend of mine who buys lots of Cds here. Im glad he showed this shop to me as they have alot of the Seattle Punk and Aternitive bands that have been wiped from existence. Used and New they have it all, Very cheap prices for New or Next to New Cds, and Tapes.
They even have a Lp section for the DJs. Very Happy I found this place.

The key to EM is that they heavily discount CDs that have defects (scratches). They clean them up so that they work OK and the you get them for way below market prices and they garauntee that they will work or money back. They always have good music playing and extremely helpful staff to point you in the right direction or even make recommendations. Plus they support local music by consigning pretty much any CD that will fit on a shelf and allowing bands to post flyers at the door.

I really like this store. As others have mentioned, it feels good to be able to support a smaller chain based in the NW, and to find deals on used CDs. My favorite thing about Everyday Music is the "Skuff" section. These are CDs that have been weeded out because they have scratches. But they are dirt cheap! I bought a couple to try out at home. I kept one that worked (Moby's "Play" for $1!) and returned the one that skipped for store credit. It's a bit more work to find the ones that are playable, but worth it.
PROS: Skuffs
CONS: not really a place where you'll feel cool buying Justin Timberlake

Whether you are looking for a new or used CD, Everyday will have it. There are rows and rows of CDS..you could spend hours looking and find so much more than you were looking for. I especially love the Jazz section. They also have used DVDs which are quite well priced. And since they opened the upstairs there is so much more to look at.
PROS: Their hours--open until midnight!

This store has a large selection which is surprisingly good in some specialty areas. The prices are pretty good for these, they will let you listen to anything in advance, and have a good return policy. I do have to say that I feel better about buying from smaller local stores when I can, though - for me this is just a good place to look for out-of-print things that I can't special order elsewhere.

Pretty good selection

Everyday Music is decent enough. They have a good selection of new and used CDs, and this store is laid out well enough so that you can hang out and browse and listen to music. Their prices are rather high, and they do buy back used CDs, but they don't give you as much money for them as I've seen at other places. But not too bad of a music store.

There are tons of CD choices(new and used). I'm talking all genres here. The other good thing is that we get to listen to the cd before making the big purchase. The store has two floors of music choices. They keep on top of new music if you're into that. I have always be able to get something new to me or something I wanted for a long time but never got around to it.
The employees seem fairly nice, maybe too much on the hipster/lack of customer service attitude. I can live with it for I know what I want and noboby's gonna stop me!!
PROS: large space, tons of choices, CDs, DVD, records, hip on the new stuff
CONS: slightly off on the customer service
