Dutko Hardwood Floors

I phoned Dutko to have someone come out to give me an estimate on my hardwood floors. I was asked my address and when it was revealed that my home was in Harbor City I was told they only give phone estimates to Harbor City and they really don't "deal" with Harbor City their reason being that they are 20% more expensive than most flooring companies and they never get the job in Harbor City (you can draw your own inference), so no one would be coming out to give me an estimate. I found it shocking, not to mention disturbing, that a company, based on a zip code and a perceived demographic, would not do business with an entire city. So, to any potential new customers, be sure you live in a desirable zip code, because this company is obviously not looking for any new customers and you too will be prejudged and turned away. I hear Carter's Hardwoods does excellent work!

These guys did an incredible job on my very difficult floor (Brazilian cherrywood at 45 degrees). Their bid was also 50% less than the other two I got. Ask for Archie.
