My Home Park
by Daniel A.
Six Flags may not be the biggest or best amusement park. I'm a roller coaster fanatic and I would have to say that Knoebels Park in Pennsylvania is still the best park, but Six Flags America puts up a good fight. The biggest pro for me is that it's less than an hour away. It has an impressive lineup of coasters. Roar & Wild One are both on my top ten list of wooden coasters, while Superman, Joker's Jinx, and Batwing are all on my top ten list of steel coasters. Their prices look bad on the website, but you can find great deals at Safeway stores, on coke cans, or at a library. I can tell you I've never had a bad day at this Six Flags and I have had bad days at other parks like King's Dominion. Please visit this park, but try to go in the off-season when crowds are no big deal. I only hope they'll put in a new roller coaster soon, because as it's my home park, I take it for granted and I need something new and exciting there to look forward to.

Very Disappointed!!
by Anna H.
So last Sunday some friends and I decided to drive from Virginia Beach to Six Flags in Maryland. Now mind you this is a 4 hour drive. I have been to Six Flags over Georgia and was expecting the same experience that I had gotten there but I was wrong. This Six Flags was the trashiest theme park i had ever been to. And not only that for the 7 hours we were there, we rode about 6 rides and it wasn't because of the long lines, because the lines were pretty short. Most of the rollercoasters there were closed down for repair. Half the rides there were broken and I really feel like I wasted a lot of money, time, and gas when I could have went to King's Dominion and had a lot more fun. I'm not saying that all the Six Flags theme parks are horrible, I'm just saying that the one in Maryland, outside DC, is a waste of time and I wouldn't recommend that place to anybody.

I never used to go to theme parks, but during college I was coerced into going for a project on physiology. The park is filled with great rides, ranging from classic wooden roller coasters to modern steel ones. There are great games that remind me of the time when the fair comes around. They have darts, ring toss and basketball shooting among the activities. These games cost from $2-$5. There are also various shows that go on during this time as well. It is really a treat. There are also various restaurants around with various types of food. They are famed for selling huge turkey legs. Parking can be difficult during spring and summer time, but there is always a space somewhere. Tickets are expensive but there are always discounts that are on the back of soda cans or grocery bags.

Six Flags America has some very nice coasters; however the up keep of the park is not the best. I noticed many things worn out needing repair or paint. Generally the park was not as clean as others I've been to.

This Six Flags is one of the best in the country. Since it is relatively close to Great Adventure, most don't even know it's there. The rides are the same quality as G.A., but the lines are very short! The entrance price is also cheaper than the other parks in the area. This park is a wonderful find in the theme park world. Check it out!

We weren't overly impressed with this amusement park. If we're doing a local park, we prefer Kings Dominion.
The rides here are not the best and the park is not up to par. Could always use a coat of paint. Eating places are limited.
I feel that this park would be great if they put money back into the park. It's to crowded and located in a high crime area. The only good thing is your season pass will get you into other Six Flags parks.

Six Flags better than King's Dominion

I like this place better than King's Dominion. IT has the best water rides left over from Wild World and Adventure World.
If you live in Maryland, you don't have to drive over 2 hours to Kings Dominion because you have six flags less then hour away.
In my opinion, amusement park prices are generally too high.
PROS: great water rides, great thrill rides
CONS: ticket prices should be lower

This Six Flags is very dirty and poorly run. It is definitely not what I expected. And hearing that there was a shoot out right outside the parking lot last month only strengthens my case.

I would say that this Six Flags is worth the money. They have invested in newer rollercoasters that can still get you going, without having to drive for days!

This park is 10 minutes away from my home and it's has great attractions. The lines are not long on the weekdays and it's a nice place to take your family for the day.

I love this park. It has every ride that you could possibly imagine. The rollercoasters are very exciting full of thrills. They also have excellent water rides. A worthwhile experience for youth and adults.

I just love the waterpark at Six Flags. They have the best water coasters. The roller coasters at Six Flags are the greatest, a new one appearing yearly or every couple of years. A large area of the park is devoted to young children (up to 10) and they have a wave pool that kids just love!
