poor service and wrong order
by janine p.
I ordered a chicken tamale, I recieved instead a flour tortilla wrapped around chicken.
I question the waitress when the order arrived and she stated the order had no wheat flour in the dish. I explained to her that I was allergic to wheat flour and she assured me it was a corn tamale.
My companion agreed with me that the dish had a white flour tortilla folded under the sauce, we called over the manager and she also said the dish was a corn tamale.
I sent the dish back to the kitchen and ordered another dish. This time she brought me the new dish but no fork and ignored me so I had to steal another fork off of another table .
Her attitude was surly the rest of the meal
We will not return to this establishment or any other Jalisco restaurant.

This is one of my favorite after-work spots. The food is great and the staff are friendly and efficient. The salsa is some of the best in town. Drinks are strong and they famous for their cadillac margaritas. A few times a week they have kareoke night in the bar and it's a ton of fun. This is a great choice for a night out in Seattle.
PROS: Food & Kareoke
CONS: Parking

I love that there is the choice of two of these places. The food isn't greasy and it is quick service. The beans can be refried, or black beans, the staff is very nice and helpful.
PROS: Great location, great price
CONS: None

Jalisco's sits on both sides 1st Avenue, at the south and lowest end of Queen Anne. On the east side of the street, there's the cozy restaurant-only location, and on the west side, there's the larger, more bar-oriented location. At first, I stopped in on either side on the street simply to grab a bite, depending upon my momentary whim. Regarding food, both locations are at least decent in comparison to the area's other Mexican restaurants. As I began going to more Sonic games and concerts at the Key Arena/Seattle Center, I would spend more time in bar/lounge portion, sometimes testing my chops on karaoke nights. From my recollection, the wait and bar staff ranges from absolutely arrogant and forgetful to pleasant and efficient. However, with happy hour, game days, festivals, concerts, and weekends, the crowds tend to get rowdier during these rather exciting periods. When the sods overflow, so do certain egos, and you know how that goes. If you prefer a cozy place to grab a drink, I recommend elsewhere.
