Mandalay Bay Shark Reef is a nicely themed well done aquarium. Yes it is small and not cheap, but that being said, it is very well done. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean it has a fun gift shop.
4was well worth the money; awesome tanks and much to see; just as if you were in the wild with an aquarium tunnel over your head; great price and tours available and much variety. \r

Given that this aquarium is in the Mandalay Bay, I figure it should not be too bad, especially they are charging $18 for it! Oh boy, were we in for a huge disappointment. I could not believe they would charge $18 for it. It just felt

This place was awesome. Everyone in our group absolutely loved it. The kids especially did when they got to touch everything in the little pools.
4Had lots of fun very educational and great activity for the family and for a good price!

We had alot of fun here looking at all the sharks and other fish. It was so neat. We enjoyed ourselves. I was suprised at how much stuff there was to see. Then we went to pole worx for some pole dancing lessons I couldn't stop laughing.

Pros: There was so much to see here
Cons: Kinda pricey
For the amount of money they are charging, you could have eaten a pretty good shark and lived to talk about it. I went here with my cousins from out of town and was very depressed. Place was also very crowded. The scenery is nice, but it was missing a lot more exotic fish to see.

It's no Sea World but still really really cool. My daughter was able to touch the sting rays . The jelly fish were amazing and so was everything. So worth going to if you have kids of any age.

Of all the gambling in Vegas, you can bet this is a good experience. The scenery and setting was very nicely done, and clean for as many people as they move through there. For a fish exhibit in the desert, this is definatly a go see. Take your time, otherwise you'll get through it quickly.

We went here on one of our trips to Vegas and I was amazed at this aquatic display. I was fascinated the entire time and really enjoyed walking thru the entire exhibit. I even bought some beautiful fish figurines at the gift shop there. Fantastic place and well worth the price to get in to see it all. Would highly recommend this.

My husband and I took advantage of Mandalay Bay's tax day reward of two free tickets to Shark Reef if we postmarked our tax returns there. We took our son (under age 2 is free) and he absolutely loved it. I think we would have parked himself in one of the submarine tunnels and stared at sharks for hours if we had let him.
We went on Father's Day, so it was pretty crowded, but we still had a great time despite the crowds. I'd recommend going during the week so you can stare at the exhibits as long as possible and get close to the glass.
Regular prices are pretty expensive, but it is definitely something we will do again.

I had a few hours to spend so I checked out aquarium. It was time well spent and a great relaxing exprience before flight back to LA. Next time I will spend more time here than at the tables.

Pros: Nice selection of marine life
Cons: kinda small
Go here for a special evening, the location is cool. It is very pricey, I had fish and my partner had the tenderloin. Both meals were good. We had wine and shared dessert. It is worth it for the atmosphere.
4I was a very exciting to see what this was all about..All kinds of exotic animals in there to see..I went there most of all for the 20ft. Sharks and The largest turtle that i ever seen....I recommend it for everyone to see...So when you take a trip to Vegas don't forget to stop and see it...

We've taken our children here a few times. As you slowly descend into the depths of the ocean gazing through the belly of a sunken ship you get to see all sorts of rare and common species of alligators, fish, and marine life. It is breath-taking as you see so many beautiful colors of fish and get to see not only sharks swimming around you but sea turtles too! We will go back as often as we can as it is a great learning experience for the kids especially when they get to touch animals in a shallow pool full of baby sharks, horseshoe crabs, and others.

We took our daughter here and we were very pleased that this aquarium was as good as it was. They gave us a device like a phone and when we went to different sections of the aquarium you press a button and it gives you information about the fish/sharks in the tanks. It was very cool to walk right under the water with sharks swimming over your head. My daughter flipped out but got the idea that they couldn't get her!! I think we saw the largest sea turtle there. It was huge. This was well worth the money for family fun.

A good diversion when in Vegas, especially on hot summer days. The setting is very nice, and the small aquarium will not wear you out. A nice display of sharks and other marine life. A good place for families, which is becoming more

Great way to see an aquarium, with the sunken ship wreck theme and all. Sure we've all seen sharks and underwater fishies before, but this is Vegas baby; they do it different here! Comes with free audio tour and everything.

Right inside of the Mandalay Bay resort is this shark reef. It's an aquarium with headphones for a guided tour. Nice place to take a break and stroll, whether for adults or kids. You feel like you walk forever through the resort to find it though, so don't get discouraged! Worth checking it out. They will take your picture and try to sell it to you as you leave.

A nice place tog o for the children's class field trip or a great way to spend a week end witht the family in Las Vegas, a way to have kids have fun while you go out and gamble :). Very kid friendly.
5While not as impressive as Sea World San Diego, this aquarium is definitely worth the trip. All the exhibits seem well maintaned and the animals all looked healthy and well cared for and there is a good variety of animals to see.. The self guided tour is very educational and well put together. Surpisingly it took us over an hour to go through the whole exhibit. I'm sure with kids it would be easy to spend a whole afternoon there. I think their admission price is a little high, but if your willing to wait, I do know that they do different promotions throughout the year that will offer free admission to kids.

MAndalay Bay Shark Reef is a great afternoon visit for your family. The touch displays are great for your small children. My children really enjoyed the creature they were able to touch and examine. It is really cool to be under the shark tank looking up at the fish and sharks through the glass. It feels like your are swimming with them.

Every time we have family in town on vacation we end up at the Shark Reef. It is like you are taken into the jungles of the Amazon and the animals are so close you can almost touch them. The wand that is your tour guide is semi-annoying but tolerable if you are interested in learning about all the different species of animals and fish thay have at the aquarium. They offer a special discount for locals but the usual rate is reasonable for tourists. The sunken pirate ship at the end of the tour is awesome. Being able to touch the sting-rays is a unique experience and very cool.

I have visited this place many times with my brothers and always had a great time. Its clean and so fun! I love the tunnel of fish swimming aroung us and the array of animals are amazing. The casino is noce and clean and a place where your children are welcome. They offer school tours as well so teachers can take their classes.

The Mandalay Bay Shark Reef is a really cool aquarium. Its not just sharks there, they have all types of different sea creatures. It is really interesting to learn about all the creatures. They have people there that will anwser any questions your have or they will tell you about the fish. I like the part were you were about to play with some of the creatures that was really cool. I would totally go here if your thinkin about it.

I never thought we'd ever get an aquarium in Vegas, but we did. It's not very big, but it's great for the kids. You get a discount for showing Nevada ID, so it's not too expensive, but I probably would gawk at the full price admission, since it doesn't have a lot of exhibits. There always seems to be a long line to get in, and you have to walk all the way through the Mandalay Bay to reach the aquarium. It's unfortunate that once you exit, you can't go back in again. There is no hand stamp system. You pretty much walk through the exhibits from one end to the next, and then you're out, but my daughter still had a great time. It was pretty humid inside, so the ladies won't like what their hair will look like when they're done. Of course the gift shop was lots of fun.
PROS:
CONS: The long walk to get there from parking

I guess for a shark reef, this venue has alot to offer, but it is boring! It's also very expensive! It only takes about 20 minutes to walk through and it costs like $15 to get in.
3The Mandalay Bay Shark Reef is always lots of fun. There are always many sharks to watch and learn about. The kids love to just sit and watch all of the fish in their natural habitat. This is a great learning experience for all! I would recommend everyone to check this out at least once.

The Shark Reef and Mandalay bay is the best place to exprience under water life and habitat. The true nature of the underground aquarium is exciting. Fun for the whole family to experience something new.
PROS: Excelent service and much work put into make true fun
CONS: Needs dolphins

I went here for the first time on my 22nd birthday and I felt like a little kid again, all the fish and different sea life were so amazing to look at as well as read/hear about on the tour guide phone they give you to walk you through. I was told by a friend that if your there when they feed the peranas that it is very cool, I was lucky enough to get to see the Hammer head shark that has since past away. Its great for kids and very educational.

We took our 2 year old daughter here and she had a good time! Enjoyed watching the fish/sharks/etc. swim around her, only draw back is they would not give her a headset so she had to use mine... and she listened to every word on it!
4A great place for a date or family fun. All of the sea loife is so colorfula dn the tour is informative and interesting. The prices are a little expensive, but totally worth it for all of the fun you will ahve. Even has a place where you can pet real tiger sharks and eels.

This shark reef is really cool. You could walk through in ten minutes, or take an hour or two perusing the fish selection. I was surprised at how well it held my two year olds attention. If you are a local, there is a discount, and children under 4 are always free.
5Totally cool and family friendly. The admission price is worth every minute you are in this business. The kids will learn so much about ocean life and it will hold their attention for hours.
5This was an incredible experience. My 2 year old daughter just loved it!!! You see everything from sharks, jellyfish and crocodiles to small rays that you can touch in a small pool. you can see divers in the tanks. Every visitor gets a "wand" which if held to your ear describes the display. Unfortunately a 2 year old doesn't quite grasp that concept so those were not much use. They have a gift shop at the end where you can but pictures and souveniers. Nevada residents get a discount with their Nevada ID.

The Shark Reef was very child friendly. They give you a device that is a cross between a cell phone and a remote control. You type in the number of the reptile or fish in a tank and it will tell you information about it. There is so much wild life down there and it is so beautiful. There is also a petting area where the children can pet Horseshoe Crabs and small Manta Rays. The sharks are also a sight to see. You must check it out.

I've brought mykids there a few times and they constantly ask me to go, it's becoming an averyday thing. My son is now 4, he was 3 the last time I brought him to the reef. He got a book with information in it when I brought and carries it around with him everywhere we go and calls it his shark book. My 2 year old daughter wants to go again because her older brother wants to. The last time we went I was still pregnant with my third child, she's now 3 months and I can't wait to bring her.

It will cost you $52 for a family of four to walk in the door and spend the next 45 minutes to an hour wandering around the Shark Reef. It's just too much money. Inside, you get one of those sticks with a speaker to guide you around the aquariums. Although it's very informative, you'll find it difficult to listen if you are there with a child, and nearly impossible to get your child to do anything but play with the buttons. Parts of the aquarium are steamy and humid to simulate the animal's environment, but to humans, it's just uncomfortable. Other parts are too dark and scary for the little ones. It is cool to see the sharks swimming all around you at the end of the tour, but it just isn't worth the expense. $52 and you still have to get your kid a souvenir!

I just recently came across the sharks reef. It is the best addition to las vegas in a long time. It is something that is great for everyone. Young or old, you will enjoy your time spent here. They have a giant aquarium with every kind of fish. It is relaxing and soothing to watch all this swim around you. yes, you walk through a huge aquaruim. M y son's especially liked all of the sharks. They swim so close, it is a definite good time to be had by all. At the end of the tour, you get the chance to pet a stingray. This is great for small kids. I believe they even had starfish to hold too. These were always my favorite. This would be money well spent.

Wow, this a fun and educational place to go! I recently took my mom and we strolled the reef for hours! It was such a great way to spend the day when it was too hot to much outside! It is reasonably priced offering NV resident discounts. It is clean. It is beautiful. It is educational. It is a very nice place! I will keep it mind when friends from out of town visit and want to drag me to the strip! Check it out!
PROS: educational, clean, beautiful, well priced, facinating, fun, indoors.
CONS: none!

We loved this place. There was so much to see and I felt I could have stayed there so much longer!! Be sure to stop at the "touch" pool. there is a variety of sea creatures you are able to just reach out and pet. You can get the "self-guided" tour for a fee that comes with fish ID cards. Also, the "sea" tunnel is really great!! I could go on and on about this place.

While there is no doubt that the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is well worth viewing, being large, beautiful, and interesting; it is most definetely NOT FREE at $15.00 per adult, and $6.00 or so per child to get in. Did we pay? Yes. Was it

What a waste of money. Way too crowded (on a sunday afternoon), too many strollers and kids. Unknowledgeable staff. Boring and short lived. The only cool thing was the jellyfish tank.

This attraction was an attempt to differengiate from the other attractions in Vegas, which I give them credit for. The sea creatures were great to look at visually. You listen to these phone like instruments where a voice guides you
