Dinner Delivery Plus

My experience with DDP has been good. I always order a day in advance and set a time for delivery. The food has always been hot. They have delivered within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Once they forgot the side dishes in the truck and I had to wait for them to contact the driver. Now I check my order when they drop it off and I haven't had any other problems. The people on the phone have been knowledgeable about the menus and able to suggest quantities to order for my office functions.

It's easy and convenient.

For me, they have always been on time. I order lunches from them 3x monthly and love that I get a one stop shopping place for a variety of lunch choices. You do need to be very clear on what you want since they aren't all that familar with the various menus.

I have ordered from Dinner Delivery Plus on a number of occasions. The food is always late, and often I get something other than what I ordered, or something is missing from the meal.

PROS: appeals to my laziness
CONS: makes me regret not picking up my own dinner!

Every so often, my husband and I order through Dinner Delivery. It takes that long for us to remember why we don't order through this. No matter what evening we call, its always been several hours to get your food. We've always gotten our food slightly cool, and several times without much of the condiments. Once I ordered a pizza from California Pizza Kitchen that had cold toppings on the side. All were left behind. So I had my pizza (after waiting ahnd waiting), then had to wait another hour for my toppings!

All this for an extra $10 plus tip?
Last time we called, the place was only about 10 minutes away from us and Dinner Delivery quoted us 3 hours. We said no thanks and picked it up ourself and will continue to do so.

I can see how it would be convenient to pre-order for a group, if it came on time.
