i love this park it is the best my kids love it it is really good for all ages WE RECOMMEND THIS PARK TO ANY ONE WHO HAS KIDS OF ALL AGES TO TAKE THEM HERE

I have had season passes for 4 years. I travel an hour to this fun, educational, and inexpensive park. For me and the children I bring its a wonderful way to spend the summer. Michele Ackerman

This is a great place for all ages, young and old. They have shows as well as rides. You wont feel bored even if you stay there whole day. Their food are good but a little expensive. It is a especial fun place for the summer.

We have been here a few times. My kid loves going here but she is also disappointed that she cant go on most rides coz she is not tall enough or not big enough. wish they had more rides for preschoolers.
The rollercoasters are awesome. My hubby loves them.

I remember visiting Marine World years ago and loving every single animal. I don't even remember any rides. Fast forward to this past summer, when I took my family there twice... barely any animals. All you see are rides, rides, rides. Most of the animals are all shoved way in the back of the park, like they don't care enough about them or something. However, the Shouka show is a definite must see! My kids loved it the most out of both times we went. They also have a tiger training session you can watch, which was fun. They really hype up their dolphin encounter, where you can touch the dolphins, however, the dolphins never once came even close to the people there, unless they were getting fed (and you have to PAY EXTRA for that!) Yep, that's right, you pay a fortune just to get in the park, not to mention the food which is simply outgrageously overpriced (a family of 4 can run close to $50! just for a quick lunch!), but they have several areas (feeding dolphins/giraffes, riding elephants, riding those go-kart type race cars) where you have to pay extra if you want to do them. As we drove in, we saw the cars, and my daughter said she wanted to do them. Sure, I said, not realizing until we got up there that you have to pay extra to ride (like $7 per person!). So, what is that inflated admissions ticket for anyway?? It was a disappointment. They do have a nice size area for little kids with lots of rides that are Looney Toons themed. We just stuck with that area and the animals for most of the time. Oh, and their Shark Experience is another must see. A little too short, but still very cool. As far as costs, the one plus they have is that their gift shops are actually inexpensive. Definitely try the fudge shop toward the entrance of the park.

PROS: The killer whale show and shark experience
CONS: WAY overpriced on most things

Six flags Marine World is a fun and exciting place. They have attractions as well as shows. The best part is the thrill rides like Medusa and Roar. the water rides are always exciting to get wet with. The animal shows with the whales is fun and exciting to see. A fun to place to go with friends and family.

I came to this place expecting a ton of thrill rides and rollercoasters/etc that is so commonplace among other Six Flags theme parks. Instead, I found that most of the attractions here are mainly geared towards children. This is not to say that adults can't have their fun, it is just that this is not the place for adults to get their thrills in.

Be prepared to wait---if you happen to stop by on a summer day, long lines and INTENSE heat may not make the visit very enjoyable/bearable.

PROS: Decent selection of rides
CONS: LINES ARE LONG...be prepared to wait

Marine World is a good amusment park. A bit on the small side considering the price. The added benefit of the animal exhibits is not only fun but educational for the kids. Downside....few rides for the smaller children. My four year old was very disappointed that he could not go on most rides and we sat out on a bench while the rest of the family rode.

Food is very expensive so budget for it. In fact everything is pricey from parking (they know they have a captive audience for that) to cotton candy. Make your budget then added a hundred bucks.

I would recommend Six Flags to a large audience because there's so much to do at Six Flags. You can be a roller-coaster lover and take on the rides or if you're not into that, you can go for games at the game area or even just go watch shows. The dolphin and whale show is a must.

I love this theme park! They have a ton of new rides that really give Great America a run for their money. And on top of that, don't forget to check out the animals! They have a lot of great shows, such as with the tropical birds, dolphins, etc. Definitely a great place to take the kids and spend the day.

This place is great, because not only do they have great rollercoaster, but they also have an animal aspect. I enjoyed their dolphin, sea lion and tiger shows, and one time even caught a killer whale show. At a certain time you can also pay to feed giraffes and you can go see sharks. There is also a water stunt show. the lines for the attractions are reasonable during off peak hours

You know that crazy old guy dancing in all those Marine World Commercials, well I guess he's right to be excited. Yup, theme parks do that to people. This is really cool since it is a combination of rides and animals! I love that part of it. And they just got a new killer whale, Shouka! Its beautiful. Go see all the fun. Prices are high just like at any amusement park.

Forget the rollercoaster rides and stick with the Marine life. We took our daughter there for her birthday.

She loved the dolphin show and the sting rays the best. I did too.

Shouka the Killer Whale was in her "cycle" so wasn't in the mood to perform. The trainers did just a Q and A, which wasn't all that exciting. Yet you could see Shouka swim about the tank.

Parking is plenty but far and the tram is slow.

PROS: Marine life great
CONS: roller coaster rides I can do without

If you go on a weekday, the lines for rides are very short! The coasters are not as thrilling as those in Great America; however, Vertical Velocity was extremely scary! There is now a new area where you can pet fish and dolphins. Still, the most famous show is the killer whale show. The front seats fill up fast!

This is a great combination of fun on rides and with animals. They have a few pretty cool roller coasters (like the Medusa) and they have beautiful animals! But unfortunatly the shows aren't as good as the ones at Sea World, but they are still awesome especially now that they have a new killer whale, Shuka. The park is for all ages, everyone can find something that they like, which is really nice. Good day of fun

This is our second year with season passes to Marine World and we fully intend on using it over and over again! I've been to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Disneyland twice in the past year and none of those experiences compare to the ones we've had at Marine World.

Yes, the food is costly. That's an amusement park for ya. The best thing to do is to buy one of their soda cups for $8 and get 99cent refills throughout the day. Very worth it. If you don't want to pay for the food in the park, you can bring a cooler and eat at a picnic table in the parking lot or go across the street to Carls Jr. They let you bring your own water bottles into the park, so freeze them before you come to make it through the hot day.

The kid's area is great! I have a 3yr old and a 5yr old. My oldest can go on a few of the bigger rides but we spend quite a bit of time in the kids' area because of our youngest. They never get bored!! The only complaint I have is that the ride operators measure the kids over and over and over again. This is very time consuming and holds up the line. If they could just pass out different color bracelets for different heights it would make things go much smoother.

We love Medusa and Vertical Velocity!! Those are rides we'll stand in line over and over for!

The new Ocean Discovery was great, even though we had to pay $4 each to feed the dolphins. It was worth it for the pictures and the chance to pet and get them to do tricks! The kids loved being able to touch the stingrays and see the penguins swim! And the shows!!!!!! Shouka, the dolphins, sea lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes ... oh my!

Always entertaining and so very worth it!!!!!

PROS: Great summer entertainment!
CONS: Long lines in the heat, but not their fault

This Six Flags park is smaller than most, but they do offer some great marine animal shows and exhibits that you don't normally get at a roller coaster park. The park is located north of the bay near San Francisco, so it could work as a kid pleaser before the parents hit wine country in Napa Valley. Be sure not to miss "Medusa", this coaster is absolutely awesome, and one of the most unique rides I've ever been on.

I am a roller coaster enthusiast, and I have to say, Six Flags Marine world just is not that special. Medusa, their main attraction, is a great B&M, but its lacking in the forces department. Kong, a Vekoma SLC, is one of the worst roller coasters I have ever been on. It is the roughest and slowest SLC I have ridden in my life. Boomerang: Coast to Coaster, their Vekoma Boomerang, is just like all the other 150 Boomerangs in the world, rough and boring. Zonga, their "newest" roller coaster, which actually was relocated from Six Flags Astroworld, which was relocated from the fair circut in germany, is the best example ive ever seen of an amazing roller coaster ruined by the general public's fears of being hurt on a ride. This ride used to only have lapbars, and had about a 10 foot longer drop, but six flags decided to change it, so the G forces would be lowered, and people would feel safer. Vertical Velocity, a launched impulse coaster from Intamin, is one of the parks high points. I love the launch, although there are much better launched out there, and the fact the the modified version allows you to stall upside down if you sit in the 3rd or 4th row really brings its rating up in my eyes. There are some bad things about this coaster though, like the fact that the holding brake on the back spike prtetty much never works anymore, and when they modified it, they also cut 35 feet off of it because it was over the cities 150 foot height limit. Roar, a woodie from GCI, is the other of the parks high points. Great airtime in the back row, and not rough at all. The only thing is that the Millennium Flyer trains lap bars go down all as far as possible, so the only way to get the great airtime from it is to hold the lap bar up, which can be a hassle. Overall, the park is ok, nothing special. In the same area, I would really reccomend Paramounts Great America over this Marine World, simply because their coasters are much better quality, with the exception of Grizzly.

Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo is the best amusement park in the Bay Area, in my opinion. The park is very clean and accessible, and the price is reasonable as well. They also have a lot of animals you can see, and you can pet stingrays and dolphins and other animals.

It's a great place for kids, for it's also a good place for adults as well.

We had a good time but I would recommend taking kids over 6 years old to get your money worth. There were a few rides for kids under that age. The food wasn't good at all and way over priced. The animals and shows were good. So if you or your kids are interested in animals, I would definitly go to see the great selection of beautiful animals they have.

I love taking my kids to Marine World. They love the animals and the mild kids rides. If you can get a hold of a coupon, it's a great price. My kids really love just watching the whale when it's not performing.

a little expensive(what amusement park isnt) but is fun for the whole family. The new dolphin experiance is great! Also have new penquin and stingrays

the rides here are very exciting. i enjoyed the games and the rides here. the park is very clean and nice. they have a tour bus that comes to pick u up in the parking lot. it's great.

I really dont like the idea of having animals kept in captivity their enclosure look small and cramped and the animals look emaciated.

The amusement park is fun and there are all of exhilirating rides. Several brand new coasters. They often update ride and are always adding so theres alot of new stuff ones from the last time you visited. The prices are cheap if you use the advertised coupons but in the summer it gets ungodly hot in Vallejo and there is very little shelter from the heat,

i love the rides at six flags. this is better than great america. the rides are faster and the lines are shorter. they have a lot of different shows and such. live animals and tons of things to do. prices are cheap and this place is kept usually clean. although, you should consider the old news about this place and people falling from the rides. =/

This is the best amusement park that I have ever been to in CA. They have animal shows, live hourly acts, and the rides are the BEST here! No one can beat six flags! They have so many things to do here and they usually give out great discounts and deals. The food here is unusually good since amusement park food isn't always the best.
