The Imax theatre is awesome. Its great for a date or for a family outing. The prices are awesome! And they don't have just the typical theatre movies they have all kinds, some 3D. Its a great experience if you are in town on a trip or even those of us that live here! Its nice to experience and the movie is all around you and its great. This is a great way to relax after a day of running around Seattle having fun, with kids they may be tired and cranky but for adults its a nice winding down from a sightseeing day!

If you have kids, don't do the Pacific Science Center AND an Imax movie, or they will be bored. For an evening out, pay the PREMIUM theater price ($12 or $18 or something like that) if you REALLY want to see that move BIG. If you get a chance to see something 3d, that's really cool. Or during the day see documentaries, which I prefer, as they're usually made specifically for IMAX and look better big.

Imax is located on the waterfront just down the way from pier 54. Open areas great views. There is also an great outdoor aquarium since it is located next door to the Seattle Aquarium (Not to be missed also). The quility is worth the price of addmission since Imax is not really a movie and more an experience. I would suggest The Mt st helens eruption to start then move on to Lewis and Clark.

Nothing is better than watching a 10 story movie screen that wraps around you. The signature film here is is "The Eruption of Mount St. Helens" Washington history with a current note. Not to be missed considering the recent events. All kinds of cool flicks Titanic even the Matrix on a rare blue moon.
