Will No Longer Go There
by Dan R.
I used to enjoy going to this theater, but after being harassed by the parking security on two separate occasions, I will no longer see movies there. I'd rather wait for the DVD than pay $10 for the privilege of being treated like a criminal.

Although it is better than the landmark in La Jolla, it doesn't compare to the bigger chains when it comes to facilities. It does play many movies so it's a good place to find good movies.

This theater is located in a great part of town, ideal for "dinner and movie" (and maybe some shopping) nights. They offer a lot of films you can't see in the huge multiplexes...documentaries, foreign, independent, non-disney animation...all great alternatives to the Hollywood products. They also have a great snack bar! It's more like a tiny cafe than movie theater. So go and have fun, but don't expect discounts unless your a senior citizen.
And remember to get your parking validated!
PROS: Great place to see out-of-the-ordinary films
CONS: No student discounts or matinees

This theater plays a pretty good variety of independent and foreign films, and also a lot of cult classics at times. Landmark in general is one of the few theatere in San Diego to watch those films that won't show at AMC or Edwards. A really great atmosphere to watch films in.

This is the one theater in San Diego that shows all the independent films thet don't make it to the big theaters. They show many movies made by locals or students that don't have the funding to go into big theaters. The movies are usually excellent and you definetely need to see these independent films.

The best thing about this theatre is that it shows films that arn't really commercial or mainstream. I saw millions a couple weeks ago and it was probably one of the best movies I've seen of the year. The theatre might not be best in the seating but it makes up for it with its movie selection. Experience something new.
