I've been going to this store for a couple of years because it's so close to home & have always received bad service especially in the deli dept. So I decided to shop there one last time before I was to waste more time & gas to go to another location in the future. As luck would have I needed lunch meat that only the deli carries & was dreading my walk to the counter expecting the usual attitude and/or 20 minute wait for them to realize I even was there. Ugh! yet amazingly to my surprise before I even reached 5 ft to the counter I was greeted by a young women named Monique, she asked with a great smile on her face if there was any way she could help me I gave her my order & without complaint cut it paper thin like I asked folding each slice with care! it's easier to pick up this way she says. as she sliced she asked how my day was, finished my order & asked if there is any thing else I needed. she suggested the best cheese for my meat as well as a good fresh baked bread & even said she would slice that too if needed. never once loosing her cool, even as some manager was talking rudely at her. She is by far the best employee they have & it is because of her I will be returning to this walmart. oh! side note I now know why the woman in the Bakery dept called her Sunshine, because she was just that a ray of sunshine in a very dark walmart! kudos Monique! keep up the excellent work!
The customer service at the 290/tidwell location, is very poor. The employees in the customer service department treat you like trash on the street.
NEVER enough cashiers,does not matter what time of day or night you go-it is so BAD. Last 2 weekends I went-same products out--I mean shelves empty and trashy. Also this Wal-Mart does not carry common products that other Wal-Mart stores do carry.
Walmart is the place for everything, whether you want to go grocery shopping buy cosmetics or shoes or clothes or need hardware or need your oil changed in your car . Walmart has it all .. I shop at walmart more than 5 times a week! I recommend walmart to anyone anywhere!

Having come from Cedar Rapids..................this walmart was a dissapointmentFor one there was no grocery cart available, it was so full and no one to help you find stuff. I have always like shopping at walmart but some how this one was not a pleasant experience.
I had a very unsatisfactory visit at walmart the other day. I had a check of $11.00 for GoodStart that I had got form the company so I went to wal-mart to use it and when I got to the register no one knew who to use it so they called over the MGR. and she didn't know either I was very mad because I had stood in line for about 30 minutes and had to go home empty handed. Not only did I spend 30 minutes in line but I was also had to deal with three different cashiers who were very rude. After that I won't be going there any time soon!
