Sunshine Thrift Shop

I most definatly will not ever go here again. The lady that was working last time was so rude and mean. One of my young kids dropped a toy they were playing with, and she went crazy saying that the toys were not to be played with and were to be purchased only. Well we WERE buying it, and the toy had no damage what so ever from being dropped. I think she just over reacted and she actually scared my kid! I will never, ever go to this place again, and I sure as heck would not recomend anyone else does. Not only was the staff rude, but the clothing in this store was out dated and it smelled, and the lighting was very dim and depressing inside the store.

you can shop at this store and find some really great finds and it also is for a good cause. i am not sure if the staff here is paid, or volunteers, but they are so friendly and helpful they act like they are being paid a fortune (which we all know they arent). The store is pretty organized, for a thrift store. The smell isnt bad, and the lighting is good. Prices are wonderful.

CONS: UGLY building on the outside! No street appeal!

This is a typical thrift store, a little bit run down, dirty and cluttered, but you can still find diamonds in the rough if you look hard enough. I found a gold necklace for $20.00, some great books, and a few other misc. things. It's not overly busy as I have seen some, however I suspect that a few patrons might have been vagrants judging from the aroma coming from their direction.

I noticed last month, when I moved back to the Capitol Hill area, that I was near the Sunshine Thrift store. This place has decent things and is quite low profile not including the orange painted building. All sales go to an AIDS foundation of some sort. I would like to encourage people(especially the locals) to check this place out. Give yourself some nice threads and give a worldwide and needed cause.
