Fred Meyer

Store is so packed full of merchandise you cannot ever get your cart through the aisles, and the staff is horrible. The cashier was so heinous at the checkout counter to me that I'm going back tomorrow to return EVERYTHING i purchased (which was just under $100 worth of product) I wanted a wallet that was normally $35, and it was on sale for $19.99. The cashier was angry that the wallet didn't have a price tag on it, and called over to get the price when she rang it up it came to $24.99. I said "Um, the price tag over there said $19.99" And the mad and exaggerated *SIGH* and rolled her eyes, then called back and said "Listen, there isn't anything over there for 19.99.. this is the price.. you can either take it or leave it. I'll take it off the list... because they are over there and I'm over here and there is nothing I can do!!" and then she deleted it and tossed it to the side of the register. Wow... thanks. My daughter was crying in the cart cause she was done shopping after waiting in line, so I just paid for my stuff and left. I'll be back later to return it when I don't have such a cranky child. If I could return the "teddy grahams" she ate while waiting in line I would. Maybe if I'm still made tomorrow, I'll return them in the form of a dirty diaper.. with my reciept in hand of course..

The Fred Meyer on S. Commmercial street recently completed a full scale remodel that is out of this world. It is up-to-date class. They even added a Starbucks! Their shopping carts convenienly have cup holders. The produce section has the feel of an open-air market.

I like having all my shopping under one roof.

PROS: One Stop Shopping
CONS: Crazy parking lot

Fred Meyer isn't really an Oregon firm anymore, but it is still a nice place to shop for everything you could want. It's truely the first one stop shopping store I used and the one I go back to when I'm needing something and I want to be able to get assistance in finding it.

This particular store is a real gem. Well lite and spacious, it is stocked with a large selection of everything from Groceries to Furniture.

I have shopped in many box stores since my first foray into a Fred Meyer, but I always go back because of the service and the prices. I highly recommend it.

Fred Meyer does have some great deals on loss leaders found in the weekly ad. Otherwise, they tend to be expensive, so I don't do a lot of shopping there. They seem to have plenty of workers though.

At Fredmeyers it is all about one stop shopping. The store on commercial st. is newly remodeled and just beautiful inside. They now have a starbucks coffee house as well. There is a washington mutual bank, grocery store, garden store, automotive store, and clothing store all in one. They have a great selection and quality items. Since they have remodeled everything is in one builiding as well which is much more convenient.
