Reviews for san diego sports arena

Ratings_icons A good venue for stadium concerts

Peter L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 539

If you enjoy the stadium style concerts, this is the place for you. Being bigger than both coors or cox, the venue makes you feel like you are watching something that is very spectacular. Tickets for shows like RHCP might be a little pricy, but it's well worth it because of the wild atmosphere.

Ratings_icons Minor league hockey games!

The San Diego Sports Arena does not look like anything too impressive, but it is the home of San Diego Gulls hockey! Even though we do not have an NHL team, San Diego hockey fans can still get their fix here with a great minor league team. Seats are affordable, from $12 for terrace seats during a regular season game. My friends and I try to target all the games with sponsor promotions to build up our fan gear collection. The Sports Arena is also home to an indoor soccer team and hosts many performances, from Disney on Ice to rock concerts.

Ratings_icons Decent venue, wide variety of events

Mark P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,093

The Sports Arena is getting old and outdated, but they still book quality events for the people of San Diego. The Sports Arena has the San Diego Gulls minor league hockey team as well as the Riptide for arena football. They also book concerts and the circus too.

Ratings_icons Aging Sports Center needs improvement

Lisa A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,981

I recently took a trip to San Diego for a music concert. The band was great, but the acoustics and facility were not up to the quality I would have expected for a arena type facility. Parking was so crowded, as the event was sold out, that I had to park at a business across the street. Not a normal issue for me, but there were signs everywhere warning of towing for cars that parked at local businesses after business hours. Also the seeting was not comfortable and I felt more like I was at a high school basketball game rather than at a concert.
