LOVE IT!  4 Star Rating - Very good

I go here when I want a special treat during the summer time. Not very often though because the lines always seem to long and I never have time. They have plenty of flavors to choose from, So by the time summer ends you tried them all.

Cool Off With Ralph's!  5 Star Rating - World class

You know summer is on its way when the Ralph's Famous Italian Ices stands open for the season. Sadly, they close around Labor Day, so that just means we need to get there as often as possible during the warm weather to enjoy all of their flavors.

They now have over forty locations in the New York/New Jersey area, and we are fortunate enough to have three on Staten Island. The original location is on Port Richmond Avenue, and there is a certain amount of charm in standing in a long line on hot summer night on a fairly busy street to get a cold treat. They offer Italian Ices, Ice Cream, Sherbets and now have some no sugar added items.

Of course the standard flavors such as lemon, cherry, chocolate and vanilla are available, but why not go for something different and order the Jelly Ring Sherbet or the Malibu Bay Breeze Ice? The ices are always fresh, with pieces of fruit or candy in them. For a while, these ices were available in some convenience stores, but it just was not the same as getting it right from the stand. Ralph's Italian Ices is a tradition around here!

PROS: Many flavors to choose from.
CONS: Only open during summer.

mouth watering fresh home made ices to die for on a summer's day  5 Star Rating - World class

When ever its warm we head on over to this institution here on Staten Island for some amazingly tart lemon and deliciously sweet cherry italian ices which all have real fruit and some times a pit in it. The first succulent lick of lemon makes your lips quiver and tongue pucker up. Open only during summer months. Make sure you stop off across the street at Deninos first for a pizza and then here!!!
