Fry's Electronics

Terrible, I will never shop there again.
Great selection but if something goes wrong after you purchase it... They will do absolutely nothing to help.
Personally, I lost about $600 dollars after them not honoring a warranty on a product one month old.
Customer service is non-existent here

If you ever wanted an Electronic superstore that even makes Best Buy look tiny, then go to Fry's! This store has everything you could ever want. You can find great computer parts, supplies, software, hardware. You can also find lots of tools and things like transistors and all the like that a Radio Shack has. Fry's even has a large DVD and music area. Basically this store is a techno-geeks dream come true. I would also say that the prices are very reasonable as well. Go there if you have a hard to find item that your looking for, you'll probably find it at Fry's.

PROS: Great selection, Good prices. HUGE store
CONS: Out in Downers Grove, maybe a little hard to find

This store is absolutely huge. I could not believe it when I walked in there how big it was. I did like that fact that their prices are a lot cheaper than the big name chain electronic stores. I spent what was hours looking through their vast range of products. Their products range from the lower end for people on a budget to the high end products for people who are not on a budget. We found the Bose system we were looking for with the assistance of a customer service associate. I would highly recommend this store for its prices, but I also recommend asking for help to locate it before you spend hours trying to find it.

CONS:

Fry's is like a warehouse of electronics and accessories. They have very competitive prices and a lot of merchandise in stock. The store is much bigger than Best Buy or Circuit City and the prices seem to be cheaper. They also have a cafe area which is nice considering people spend a whole afternoon in there.
