Ratings_icons Cook Out is RUDE

Amber l. | insider Insider | Rank: 31,826

rude customer service. And Racist. I pulled thru the line after having to rush my order and the first thing i hear is "white people dont know nothin" and being a white female, i took that as very disrespectful! I am sad to say i will NOT be dining here again. And i will let my family and friends know as well. DONT go to the one on SUMMIT AVE

Ratings_icons Add a Play area

Paula P.

Add a play area and McDonald will be history! Think about it...there will always be parents looking for a place for our toddlers to play & eat. The food at cookout is GREAT but my toddler needs a place to release all that ENERGY after she eats and this is why we always go to McDonald's or Chick Fila.

Ratings_icons Best Milkshakes!

Susan A. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,500

Love their milkshakes. I always get the bananna. Mmmm! And the burgers have that great grilled flavor. I would stick to the burgers, fries and shakes. That is what is the best.

Ratings_icons OMG That Place is Awesome!

Sanai L.

I just got home from Florida and we stopped at two
fabulous places for the 1st time this holiday week...we were looking for someplace quick so that we could stay on
the road to Northern Virginia and came off I-95 at exit 173 after seeing so many signs...couldn't decide, but saw a big red and white sign "Cook Out", my son turned around and said lets go back (of course he was driving) and we all said NO go back to see what that place is, by the time we got to a full view, all we could see was a double line of cars and people loaded up at a window and we said "We're trying Cook Out". Well, we all got something different and we ALL were delighted. I've tried many burgers $2-$10 from NY to CA, but this is on my top two list of the burger line. This burger was so perfect in taste, texture, and value, it truly fit the name "cook out". A person in front of my mother said that she's tasted many things and every single item has been great. So the BBQ's sanwiches passed very well also. If I had known, I would have gotten 2 burgers and ate one very slowly when I got home. If you have the chance to experience, don't pass it by. Right now I'm searching for the closest location or will have to justify a ride that way as a day trip (? to Smiths of Dortches -- Food Find Heaven).

Ratings_icons NO WEB PAGE

Curhonda B.

I love to eat at COOK OUT but this company does not have a web page. You can't find out any thing about it. I wanted to see if it will franchise but I can't find anything. I live in a very small town in North Carolina and this would be a good restaurant to have in my town.

What a treat! The burgers are the best you can find at a 'fast food' place...onion rings - delicious!...but, the milkshakes..oh, my goodness!! these milkshakes are fantastic! I had a watermelon shake today - just couldn't believe how wonderful it was. Now, I can't wait to try the new Caramel Coffee shake! Thank you, Cookout! I had given up on fast food until I discovered this.

This has the best milkshakes in town. Anyone can find a flavor to try or even to find a new favorite. The service is always quick and the burgers are a great addition to any shake for a meal.

Ratings_icons Double Check Your Order!!!

Anonymous

The food at Cookout is pretty good for the price. However, the service is HORRIBLE!! 9 times out of 10 the order is incorrect. My coworkers & I wonder why it's so hard for management to hire staff that can READ!! So, if you have time to order, wait for the food, check the order, report the mistake & wait AGAIN to have your request prepared correctly, then Cookout's the place for you!

Ratings_icons bad management in Asheboro's cookout

Dexter T.

Hi, my name is Dexter and I love cookout food and the quick serve at the Randleman Rd & Battleground cookout. I'm from Asheboro, but unfortunately I have to drive to Greensboro to get good service. On one recent occasion in Asheboro, a manager named Monica rudely approached me when I wanted to order extra oreos for my milkshake. I had been ordering oreos there before for .25 cent in a small cup for about a year, but when I tried this time, this manage (whom I had never seen before) approached me with a crooked trailer park smile and told me that cookout does not sell extra oreos and that if I wanted some, I would have to buy another milkshake. I was caught off guard, so I just took my shake, ask for her name and left. Other occasions were rude drive thru cashiers rushing orders when I was actually going pretty fast with my order. That happens alot there. Asheboro is definitely another world.

Ratings_icons Best Burgers and Shakes In Town

I recommend Cook-out to anyone who has a taste for a good home-style burger. The burgers are awesome. I love there Cheddar style burgers. The cheese just oozes off the burger. They have every imaginable shake you could every think of. My fav is the Mint Chocolate Chip. Another great thing about cook-out is that they open late.

A milkshake with a cheddar style burger (cheddar cheese, onions, bacon, and mayo) for less than 4.00. WOW! Milkshakes with literally, anything you could imagine in them. Try out Cook-Out and I guarantee you will be back. It's addicting!

Ratings_icons Cookout Style Eating

Cookout has great hot dogs, and fries. They also have a great menu with a variety of milkshakes to choose from. The aroma smell just like someone is having a cookout. The only thing I dont like is that sometimes the staff is not that nice. They have attitudes, dont smile and just hand you your food without saying anything.

Ratings_icons they are good!

Kris t. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,233

cook out not only has really good milkshakes but their hamburgers taste just like you made them yourself on the grill. And suprisingly their bbq sandwiches are great too! I've gone to this one several times & have never had a problem with them getting my order right. Now the one on High Point Rd is a different story!

Cook Out is one of the best places to get milkshakes. They are so think you can't use a straw with them. They have at least 25 different types of shakes and in the summer they have special ones like Watermelon. This is a drive thru only. The hamburgers taste like you grilled them on a BBQ yourself and you select what you want on them not like other places that you have to tell them what you don't want on them. If youre in our area or you have a Cook Out around you give it a try if for nothing else but a milkshake.
