In response to the negative, childish review of the pharmacy:

All I can say is that you made yourself look like an immature, conceited, obviously superficial fool on here and I seriously hope you read this and the review by the person who works for CVS. I also found this same review on google reviews tonight, and, though written slightly differently, it is just as PATHETIC.

First of all, do you understand that there are procedures and laws a pharmacy has to abide by? Obviously not. I have worked in a pharmacy for a short time and I can tell you, problems occur. A place like Walmart, who fills on average, 500-600 prescriptions a day, is bound to have problems. But, many times, it is not the pharmacy's problem. I have seen where doctors write a prescription wrong or they don't call in a prescription until hours after they promised the patient they would. Insurances control so much at pharmacies. A patient will want ninety days of meds, an insurance will only cover thirty or a drug will cover twenty dollars on a specific drug one time, but only five dollars the next (i.e donut hole), do you know what I mean? Now, I'm not saying that a pharmacy tech, or a pharmacist isn't completely to blame, however, did you step back and think about the fact that they are human? I'm just going to assume the answer is no since you're too "good" for Walmart and you are "better" than Walmart employees and they are just "dumb, incompetent, uninteresting conversationalists." What does that say about your character, or your "condition"? And I doubt that just YOUR prescription was wrong EVERY time. That happens very VERY rarely and usually, the only people calling in to say their prescription was wrong are those who take controlled, highly abused drugs.

The CVS employee is right, by the way. And to add to that, we are conditioned to prefer name brands, the so-called "best". When it comes to drugs, generics, as said before, must meet a standard. When you buy name brand, you are buying just that, the name, along with the ads, the colorful packaging, and maybe a slightly better flavor when it comes to the liquids. Besides the point, a mother wants the best for her child, nor do they wish to see them suffer. But why would a mother let her child suffer a minute longer just for a selfish "preference". Your husband could have ran the generic, Walmart acetaminophen, the same drug found in . Tylenol, home while the prescription was being filled. And I have lived in Lee's Summit for 23, going on 24, years and 4 years isn't enough time to see a significant change in anything.

Lastly, what do you expect an employee from ANYWHERE to do if someone were to do anything like that man did while standing in line? Honestly. If they were so busy that it took an hour and a half to fill a script, then would they have time to clean it up, or would they have even noticed the man blowing snot on the floor. Besides, the employees have to bite their tongue hard and deep, no matter how gross or immature, or how rude a customer is, I'm surprised none of them have bled to death from biting their tongue when they had to deal with you.

Take some advice from two pharmacy employees, do your research and understand the laws instead of posting rants on the internet about petty issues like a whiny little teenager so you can feel better about your miserable and pitiful life.

This is a reply to the negative review of the pharmacy.

I work for CVS so I'm fairly unbiased, as Walmart is one of our competitors. I am also a pharmacy intern.

Tylenol recalled all their products from *every pharmacy in the entire nation* due to a manufacturing problem on their end. No pharmacy anywhere has been legally selling those Tylenol products because they were deemed unsafe and recalled.

CVS and Walgreens didn't sell them either. However, the "generics" you mention are required to be within 5% of the effectiveness of the name-brand by Federal standards, just like every lot of name-brand is required to be within 5% of every other lot of that same name-brand. Same drug, same dose, same effectiveness in over 99% of the population. If you believe there is a difference between the two (unless you have a genuine intolerance or allergy to a filler in one or the other) means there is only one difference: Your belief.

Insofar as customer behavior, what do you want Wal-Mart to do to rude customers, shoot them on sight? If they did that, you wouldn't have been around to write your review.

I've been to the same Wal-Mart and have had excellent experiences by being friendly, cordial, and patient while working with the employees and management. Wal-Mart also does an excellent job of turning huge profits by analyzing demographics and overturning their inventory on a regular basis.

Next time maybe you should research the issues instead of pointing fingers at folks who aren't even responsible for the piddly inconvenience you experienced.

My husband went to this Walmart last week when my daughter had a very high fever and we needed more children's tylenol and her prescription from the doctor. Firstly, this Walmart store seems to carry primarily generic products, their own "Great Value" brand. No Children's Tylenol at all on their shelves--only generic. This is common throughout the entire store now. My husband had to wait 1 hour and 25 minutes for my daughter's antibiotics. While waiting in line, the customer in front of him BLEW HIS NOSE WITHOUT A TISSUE ONTO THE FLOOR by covering one nostril and blowing! The pharmacy staff watched and said nothing. Bodily secretions on the floor and all. I'm not even kidding. The pharmacy continually screws up our prescriptions. I can't say they've ever gotten it correctly even once--and I'm there every month as I take a couple maintenance prescriptions. The store is poorly stocked and often runs out of the better quality items in the food aisles. I'm sorry but I DO NOT like to buy generic food items. Just my own preference and nothing against people who do. However, this is all they seem to carry anymore. When I spoke with a manager about this, she spewed some garbage about remodeling the store and that is the reason for the poorly-stocked shelves. Then, when I questioned her, she changed her story and said it was due to the STORE DEMOGRAPHICS. Riiiiiiiiight. I've lived here in Lee's Summit for the past 4 years and the "demographics" have not changed in that time. However, the economy has and it seems Walmart now wants to make money ONLY carrying their own Great Value generic products. Sorry, but GROOOSSSS. I really cannot stand Walmart anymore and will quickly have all of my prescriptions transferred to Walgreen's and I'll move my grocery shopping to Hen House across the street. They really do have equal and often better prices anyway--without customers who blow snot rockets on the floor in front of you!

I go to Walmart when I need to stock up and get a good deal on almost everything I purchase. However, I do not go here when I need just a few things. The store is huge! I'm in there for over an hour usually. However, it's free unlike Sam's, and its got some of the best deals, so I still recommend it for anyone.

I HAVE HAD BAD EXPEIRENCES WITH THIS PLACE FROM POOR CLOTHING THAT RIPS APART IN LESS THEN A FEW DAYS, TO PRODUCTS I BOUGHT THAT WERE BAD OR EXPIRED. I HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING THINGS THEY ADVERTISE. THEIR PRICES ARE HIGH. THE CASHIERS ARE RUDE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU USE COUPONS THEY EITHER ACT LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE OR THAT YOUR STEALING SOMETHING CAUSE YOU USE A COUPON TO SAVE MONEY. I GET TIRED OF BEING TREATED BADLY EVERYTIME I GO THERE SO I HAVE STOPPED SHOPPING THERE. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE.
