DONT dare buy a car from British Motors on Van Ness in San Francisco.

I made the terrible mistake of falling for their snake oil salesman pitch on how amazing the Land Rovers are and bought a $50,000 peice of junk that has been in the shop 10+ times in a year and the problems still exist.

The service department is HORRIFIC, the products a nightmare. I've bougth many luxury brands over the years and this experience with British Motors is the absolute lowest. Simply, the don't stand behind their overpriced, gas hog, mechanical junk mobiles.

Save yourself the $$, agony and time. It's not worth it. They are truly pathetic and the Land Rovers they sell are completely unreliable.

This is a difficult review. On one hand they have great service reps. On the other hand their service is rather spotty at best. I have had them do repair and maintenance work several times and out of 5 visits 4 times I had to return to make them fix something they were supposed to fix in the first place. I just didn't think they were very thorough. They do however return cars washed each time they are brought in for repairs.
