Henry's Marketplace

I had very high hopes for this store when it was being built. It really didn't carry alot of the specialty items that I need for my girls diet. The fruit and vegetables were good but the prices were the same as the grocery stores in my area. There was lots of parking spaces and the store was very clean.

When I first walked into Henry's Marketplace the first thing I thought was, "Did I accidentally stumble into Sprouts?"The layout and selection seemed identical to that of Sprouts. I liked the fact that they had an excessive amount of samples and I felt encouraged to buy their food as a result. However, the selection was average as not very many products were actually certified organic (you need to look for the USDA certified label). I prefer Whole Foods over places like Henrys and Sprouts because overall there is just a larger abundance of organic food. I appreciate the effort though, and I would much rather shop at Henry's if it was in my neighborhood, over any other mainstream marketplace. The prices were pretty standard, and that's okay with me.

This place is great!! After just moving to Arizona, this place is the only place that really makes it feel like home. They have managed to find the most friendly and polite staff of any store I've ever been to. They frequently remember what I've bought the last time I was there and ask me how I liked it! And they are great about giving samples and encouraging you to try new products. They've also got very very reasonable prices. Henry's is great, I highly recommend it!

These have just opened up in the Phoenix market. They are a part of Wild Oats Markets. I really like their produce and organic choices. Smaller bakery choices than a regular grocery ~ really nice butcher area - tried their steaks - awesome! The staff has been really friendly and helpful ~ much nicer than my "other" mainstream grocery store.
Check out their natural health and beauty area - and the bulk items are great too.
